2ndary cat delete
What are the pros and cons to delete the secondary cat? Does anyone make pipes to do this? Thanks.

You’ll gain about 10-15% in volume but no power gains. No one makes secondary cat delete pipes anymore to the best of my knowledge. Sometimes a set of used AWE Performance Link Pipes will pop up for sale on the forum.

No. Secondary cats are not monitored by the ECM. But if the exhaust shop is not very good you’ll get a check engine light if there are any exhaust leaks.

Honestly it was my first mod before doing headers. The volume increase was minimal. Just get an axle back

A few companies still make them if you know where to look. Small sound increase. Might gain a couple hp if any lol. Doesn’t need a tune. As long as the system is fit together, clamps are placed/tightened properly and O2s are threaded tight there shouldn’t be a check engine light. I installed one a few months ago with my AWE track (muffler delete)

It's a noteworthy difference in volume. For most looking for just a little bit more but don't want overwhelming, it's the way to go. IMO, it's the way it should have come from the factory, particularly those with active exhaust since you already get a "hush" mode.
