Guess the fuse!

Hey everyone was cleaning out the trunk this evening and noticed that this was just hanging out under the trunk cover. Any idea where it could go or what it’s for? I looked it up and it MAY be for the fuel pump but why would it be just laying there?

That’s relay, not a fuse…

Now as to which one it is I have no idea lol

I have the DSX dual in tank pump, I don't remember seeing that in the trunk prior to the shop installing it. Do you think it could be for that? Not sure why it looks to have a spot for a bolt and why it's just flopping around back there.

That makes sense. I'd send a message to Dave to see if it looks familiar. I bet that's what it is, though. I can't recall there being any loose harnesses or anything back there.

Agreed. The factory wouldn’t have left that unsecured. It’s probably not going to be a problem, but GM didn’t do that.

I'll ask the performance shop tomorrow when i take it in for the headers, intake, and BG....a cross reference of the part number says "fuel pump relay" amongst other things, but the previous shop that destroyed the car with hail did the install and since they put both the widebands under the hood where they could melt I wouldn't put it past them that this is their doing.....

If you haven't put the trunk trim back together, I'd just leave it. Some of the little christmas-tree-retainers plug into sheetmetal brackets that can easily bend and deform when you remove the retainers, so if it matters, I'd leave those loose. Shoot - if you pull the passenger's side trim away from the quarter panel, we can get a better look at where that harness goes. There is one more retainer that plugs under the back glass structure that you have to remove if you do that. It's more hidden than the rest of them, IMO.
