Have those been fully welded on the ID/other side of the flange, perhaps? A lot of header manufacturers will spot or stitch the outside of the flange and then all-around weld the interior. Likely for dimensional/positional accuracy of the primary tube locations, then a sealing weld on the inside, to prevent the tubes from moving when heated.

Yes, sorry for not posting these two pics earlier. We're having them welded on the outside of the joint. They're five years old and have been subjected to many extreme heat cycles.

That looks like the weld didn't get much penetration into the tube to begin with. Looks like it just laid over it. A little hard to tell, but that's what it looks like.

That was likely causing issues with afr reporting.

Yeah, I had that happen on my mountain motor. Add the gasket and header issues to all the popping noises and blowing coolant out the tail pipes, and it still made 1147. Should have taken it apart six months ago.
