FHP 1.7 Blower Lid Test - 2

This was interesting. There were some gains from some of those lids that didn't show up in this test. It seemed (according to FHP) conditions were as controlled and about the same for each sample tested. I wonder about timing advance, and verification they were all about the same, but a degree to two could be a good bit of power difference, so if advance was difference, that seems like it could show on the dyno', no?

Pretty cool video, regardless.

How did you get away with posting the video here? I posted part 1 here months ago and it got removed for soliciting since FHP isn't a vendor here.

At least this puts to rest all those people that think these lids make substantial power. Pretty obvious all of them gain almost nothing on a bolt-on car or highly modified. Buy it for the sound and the looks, not for any power increase.

Well, he only posted it today... give it time !!! I hope it stays up. This is information, not FHP selling something, this is crazy any more... I understand there is cost to run this forum. But Radz28 has no affiliation with FHP so why would it be remove, only "he" knows !

I know a sponsor on here that claims 20hp over stock with their lid......i'm not sure if it was included in this test (i haven't watched it yet) but the sponsor has been shilling it only for a couple of months so maybe in the 3rd iteration of this video they can test that one.....would be interesting..

I think most of the lids claim a HP increase, only if it is replacing the first gen short lid on the CTS and corvette. Most do not claim any HP increase over the newer, taller oem lids. Although, most manufacturers kind of use a play of words to say that…

This was hashed out a long time ago. There is only a power difference if you have a 2015-2016 Z06 with the short, humped supercharger lid. Otherwise, it's just for looks and noise.

I have to look into this. He wasn't advertising or anything, but I don't recall the circumstances under which you're talking about. Frankly - I don't know anything about that, and I don't recall you, HARDLY, posting stuff like that, as a detriment or anything like that. You're usually helpful, and sharing, so maybe I can find something out.

It's been 6 to 8 months ago if I recall, not too long after the 1st video was posted on Youtube. I was told that it was removed for breaking the rules of the forum. It was purely informational just like yours. I have no connection with FHP. A few others here probably remember when I posted it and it was taken down within a day or two.
