The predator engine is stout. Do research on the trans. I’m not saying it’s bad but with this being Ford’s first attempt at a DCT you should double check people aren’t having issues.

The chassis is inferior but if you’re just driving in a straight line that doesn’t really matter.
Meh, a Magnuson with a good tune and you're right there power wise, and still have left over cash to spare when comparing pricing.....these days i'm not sure what their going for but with dealer markup during and after covid there is no way i'd pay 6 figures for a ford.

Mustang? Nah. Move to a ZLE and jump into the roadracing hobby.

yeah, it's really just the ease of making power that's attractive to me. Being able to truly just "bolt on" 900 wheel or so as opposed to a full-on build/blower swap is very appealing. My zl1 never touched a road course track so just being honest with myself on how I will use it.

I have both a ZL1 and GT500. Both extremely competent track cars. The GT500 drives like a bigger car, and does weigh 300 lbs. more. The Ford's TREMEC DCT is phenomenal and based on the forum guys who track theirs often, bulletproof.

Hopefully new zr1 will drop those prices and more will become available. Pretty good prices on used c7 z06 right now due to the new one. Maybe I even look at one of those

Well yeah there are endless options of wheels and most people but stupid looking shit on their car, but I think those wheels really go with that color combo and the car itself. I also like the way the gt500 carbons look, don't want to think about what they cost though...

Currently owning a C8 Stingray that has had a main valve body replacement at 13,000 miles, I would stay away from any car that has a transmission with words Tremec and DCT in the description.

I frequent a lot of the corvette forums as I was once in the market for a C6 ZR1, and noticed a lot of chatter (no pun intended) about the tremec DCT issues, hopefully it's not too widespread.
