2018 ZL1 won't shut down

Help!!!!! I have a 2018 ZL1 camaro A10. It only has 14,000 miles. The battery died so I got a new one. Took the car out for a drive put about 40 miles on it. Get home press the start button to cut it off and everything shut down but the engine. Hit the start button to cut everything back on and it didn't work. I could even rev the engine. The only way I got it to turn off I disconnected the battery. Any idea. I've checked all the BCM fuses.

Without seeing it for myself it kinda seems like an issue with ignition relays staying on

I had a similar problem where I could not get a shutdown. As I was hunting for a solution I slammed the passenger door and the engine stopped. Has not reoccurred and I could get no explanation from dealer mechanics.

yeah, let's start there. Just replace it with a new one.
This sounds like the start button on the dash is working, because most of the systems are shutting down. But the engine is staying in "run." I don't think the starter relay is stuck on because you would hear the starter and that situation would probably kill it.
I don't think BCM can keep the engine running. I think that would be the ECM.

My wild guess on this is it has something to do with the remote start logic, since this in an automatic car.

Its happened to me more than once. I have concluded that it happens when I have my foot on the brake but allow brake movement as I hit the button to shut down.

I am thinking it sends a conflicting signal that creates a situation that leaves the engine running. I know now that it will shutdown in ten minutes... and to insure I have no or full pressure on the brake.

Have you found a solution for this yet? Car is currently in the shop for same issue. They've replaced the battery, and next they're replacing my positive terminal on the battery as mine was broken. They believe that may be the issue.
