Is there anyone running 1200whp+ with full DI?
Katech has.

But I don't think that we've seen a financial, reliability, efficiency or performance reason to go that route.
Not yet, in any case. That said, fewer added parts and changes from the original design has its appeal.
DI is typically worth 10% more power than PI, so if performance is what we’re after, then doing as much as you can through DI makes sense. Plus from a reliability standpoint you don’t have to worry about a second ECU or a canbus communication failure screwing up fueling mid run…

I disagree with all of your perspectives, but our experiences are assuredly different. It's all good though. I like added port setups and have tuned quite a few. But if I had to choose, it would be DI only if I had a path to support the power. Katech has raised the ceiling with their Goliath HPFP and the new XDI 70s. And it really isn't that much more expensive than DI anymore. Especially if your target is 1200+ whp.

So the million dollar question is: do the +70’s do anything for us? Reason I say that is the LPE BB HPFP barely keeps up with their +52% injectors. Even XDI said that going to their +65’s wouldn’t help at all over the +52’s because the pump couldn’t keep up (I inquired about making that upgrade). I’m not seeing much out there that suggests the Goliath outflows the LPE pump. Perhaps because it’s new and no one is really pushing it yet..? Maybe you’ve seen something I haven’t to suggest otherwise? But I know you and I had this discussion previously and it did not seem like a worthwhile upgrade at the time.

Now if the Goliath really does outperform the LPE (and I hope it does) then maybe the +70’s would make sense. I just hate to drop $3K for no gain.

Allegedly, the Goliath will hold more fuel pressure than the LPE up to about 1200-1300 wheel HP with XDI 65's and a 38% fuel lobe.

I can't confirm this as I don't have the experience with the Goliath yet at those power levels. If you could hold 2600 PSI on a 38% fuel lobe with XDI 65's, you would definitely have more headroom.

I have found on the stock cam lobe the Goliath holds pressure better than the LPE but not by more than about 5%. I imagine it would be more with a cam but again, I can't confirm anything. I only see what Katech posted and claimed the goliath would do.
