They simply do not throw out data. Now someone may interpret the data, and I’ve sure seen that. But I can assure you if you answer a survey on future GM vehicles, your answers get counted. Honestly sorry you are so anti future vehicle surveys that you believe this. Like I said, I’ve seen data interpreted different ways, but never data thrown out because it’s not what you want to hear. Want to know the number one piece of data from Porsche owners when survey Ed by team Corvette? I wouldn’t buy a Corvette if it was the last car on earth. In your world that data doesn’t exist. Team Corvette has kept plugging on that data and the C8 has come the closest so far. So can I prove what Mary Barra does? Of course not. A ridiculous challenge and I trust your are smart enoug( to know I can’t. But a ton of experience and family knowledge on how these surveys are done.

Sorry you and your wife are brainwashed by the big head behind the green curtain. I’m not. Oh BTW - a 911 is still available with a true 3 pedal manual gearbox. And it really wasn’t until the 7th Gen that the interior quality of Corvettes were actually competitive with Porsche interiors since the 70s. So I actually do understand Porsche owners on that one.

I've searched my old email account that I had in 2016 from when I bought my Camaro, and they haven't sent me one yet. Was hoping so. I was curious to put in my two cents and see what all it was asking.
Of course, I'd be able to complete it fully being receptive to EVs and not being in the "drill, baby drill" camp. I spend enough on gas in my 1SS. Got my eye on the Equinox EV that can get 285 miles of range for only $27,500 after incentives. But also looking at the new Chevy Colorado Z71. Went to the dealer today and looked at a 2024 black one that was beautiful. Of course, that one was 46k, and then I'd still be sucking on big oil's teets for years to come. Great damn price on the Equinox, though. I've seen favorable reviews, and it would be a great daily when I retire my SS to the garage and start modifying it. If they TRULY do not exempt data, and honestly analyze all surveys, the surveys would not end after your responses don’t align with their EV dream. They send the survey. Response hits that point of “oil reliance”. A response is that we can always use more oil. The survey ends. How is that taking all opinions? That tells me they simply don’t want to hear from us so their survey results the can show at the next bigwig meeting claim “complete” embracement of EV by all those surveyed.

That said, I went back to the screenshot of the questions. From at least what was posted it wasn't one question on the screen and then a "next" button. They were all on the same page with "yes" and "no." Assuming there was one question on the screen at a time with a "yes" and a "no," like on the question that "Consumption of fossil fuels is causing global warming," or a hypothetical "Would you ever consider owning an EV," and a "next" prompt, that would change things. Those questions only on one screen, with either checked "no," I could see the survey ending. That doesn't appear to be the case in what was posted. If you did check "no" to those questions, especially the EV question, and clicked "next," I can see you getting dropped for sure. It makes sense. You wouldn't be in the cohort of people they're targeting to pull the data and get feedback. I'm not buying into, at least from what was on the screenshot, that the survey would end. Seems like with the questions posted they could get data from both sides of the fight over EVs. It makes sense from a business perspective honestly. |

But I haven't seen anybody in here say that's the case, and that they answered "no" and were kicked. Not saying it hasn't happened, but I haven't seen any evidence it has. But if they were kicked, again, makes perfect sense as to why. And thanks for posting the other info. Interesting to see.

Well it is he internet so you can espouse all the crap you want. I was asked how I know the data fro a survey wasn’t just thrown away. I gave a factual and experiential answer and was just told I’m full of shit and brain washed. Queen Mary, as you call her has maintained an EXCELLENT” supply of ICE products. In fact there are more and refreshed ICE products in the latest introductions. You might just want to pull your head out of your bubble for a few seconds and take a deep breath. But you do remind me of what Camaro6 has become……the regular internet. Facts, data and even personal experience get shouted down by name calling. Same reason you know who is giving away he upcoming election. Have a discussion once in a while. It would probably do you good.

Let's break it down since, like I said, I went back and read the replies after first glossing over them. I've seen posted "I’ve filled out these type of surveys before for GM," "Yep you are correct it ends the survey the second you reply that you’re not interested in EV," "I've gotten a few of these before but never got very far due to the fact that I'd never buy an EV," etc.
I'm looking at this particular survey and the questions posted with the "yes" and "no" responses, and not some hypothetical cases of getting these types of surveys "before." That help you out? My point stands on the survey the OP posted. Unlike some, I tend to like evidence to back up assertions. More people in today's world should do the same, but I know if it doesn't fit their agenda common sense goes out the window. But thanks for sharing. |
