Honestly, they hold the road great while cornering! I actually take off ramps and on ramps with a lot more speed than I did with the stocks on. Also I use very minimal or no breaking for the cornering. It's really crazy cause I feel I'm getting pushed to the outside toward my door in my seat when taking corners as fast as I do now and that's the only reason I actually slow it down a bit. I'll try to do a dragy video of a few on/off ramps! and post a video link!

Toyo RR is a fantastic tire. No tread pattern though. Recently pulled a 5.1 60-130 with a little tire spin with a 315/30/20.

Hey is that log already built into Dragy or do you need to add it custom?

^^ You go into settings and select the options you want. You can have it do all or none or one.
Select 60-130 and 1/4 mile and it will show a new separate graph for each "option" you complete. Example. You set 1/4 mile and 60-130. Then you go to the track and make a 1/4 mile pass. You will get one graph that shows the 1/4 mile. And then if you hit 130 mph, you will get a separate graph showing 60-130 since you met that criteria as well.

I have now had:
2 sets of PS4S (315) 1 set R888R (315) 1 set NT555R2 (305) and in my honest opinion R2 blows both of these out of the water. in many different aspects. PS4S is an expensive tire that will not offer you any kind of real-world straight-line performance. If you plan on using 2nd 3rd or any kind of hard launching, you will just spin these things. even the 315s when I was stock. Better in rain and great cornering but not worth it IMO. R888R - I bought into the hype and tried these (10k miles out of them maybe less btw) These weren't exactly cost effective either but hey a lot of people run these they must be great right? sort of. I did the 315 and was initially happy. I was stock at this time also. To really make these shine, they HAVE to be warm. And I mean HOT. which to me was the biggest drawback and reason not to go with these again. They already do not come with a lot of depth. couple that with having to do a pretty good burnout every single time you want them to really work, these really wear out very quickly and are one of the most expensive tires you can buy for this platform. They are also quite loud, the mud tire analogy is not an exaggeration. Also, once they are close to the end of their life, they fall off of a cliff. I think the 345 is where these tires shine and have gained their reputation on really high hp stuff. But if you are normal working person like me and cannot justify changing these every 5-10k miles along with the other issues mentioned, skip on these. 555RII - Been having these for about a week now at about 750 hp. Very impressed so far. Did the G2s on the front and like those as well. These things WORK. No need for the excessive heat cycling, they just hook and book. Obviously heat makes them better but seriously the stability and traction at lower rpm launches now is night and day. Point and shoot. No observed sway at high speeds either. These things are awesome AND they are the cheapest of the three options by quite a significant amount. Have not tried rain yet so can't speak on that but I can say this thing turns good as well. not a soft sidewall. This is by far the best all-around performance tire and bang for your buck out there right now for our platforms in my opinion, and it's not really close... |

Just put a set of 345/19 on the rear for the street. Much better traction than R888R.

For those running the R2's on the rear, did you notice deterioration in the handling of the car, having mismatched tires?

Are these specific to straight line stuff, or are they good for the corners too, mines not a daily driver but I do like to take it on some back twisty country roads occasionally.

Good for both, this is not a micky. I would almost call it a hybrid radial. Stiff sidewall. feels planted in corners AND can-do straight line very well.
