What did the 45,000 mileage service cost you? Dealer quoting me $1700.
Dealer just sent me this quote (attaching picture) also contains what all the service includes. I have a 6 speed manual. Any ideas on what should be done? I'm at 46k miles. I'm getting conflicting information from different dealers. Some state only do rear differential fluid + transmission fluid flush + oil change + filters etc....some are saying just a typical oil change + cabin and air filter......and yeah this dealer obviously went bananas with his $1700 quote. He said for all the V8 camaros, he highly suggests the $1700 package and that is what everybody does (which i highly doubt)...

Holy Highway Robbery, the $1,749 service should be about $500, the $1,000 service should be about $300...
Most of that stuff you can do yourself if you have any mechanical ability whatsoever (engine oil & differential are SUPER easy), air filters, I think my dog could change those... Some of that others "magical" stuff sounds a lot like snake oil... HARD PASS...

Fuel induction service? Premium engine treatment? Enhance fuel system cleaner? E-Shield fuel treatment? Crank case cleaning service?
What the heck are these?

the only thing i see is just basically oil change(jack up the car change it yourself) AutoZone has a buncle of 5*1 gallon of EXP3 +a filter for 40$, you can get 2 of them
transmission fluid change.- I never done it on a camaro so I am not sure u cant rotate the tires anyway.. BS charge windshield fluid.. uh $5 walmart fluid. throttle body cleaning... i don't feel its necessary engine filter? maybe save the money for a CAI and its gonna last 100K miles I think and way easier to change out cab air filter... youtube is your BFF if you do the work yourself, you would actually care if you drain ALL the oil, if you clean the car, if you worry bout scratch the paint or whatever. they just wanna get the shit done and go home I would recommend u just learn how to do it yourself since it is fun and beneficial for your skills and also save money

I know prices have gone up but here's what I did between 43,000-46,000.
Rear diff @ 42,000 and 43,500 (got a new diff under warranty so that's why I did it twice). Should be roughly $165 Trans flush @ 44,000 about $175 if I am remembering correctly. It was a manual. Coolant flush @ 45,000-46,000 I think was roughly $320 (maybe less) if I am remembering correctly. You don't have to do everything at once. Your car will not break if you go to 50k before you get everything done. I don't really think your car needs anything else at 45k magically. You do an oil change at whatever cadence you normally do it at. You could maybe replace your brake fluid but honestly on a street driven car I wouldn't even bother. In my wife and I's 14 and 15 year old daily's that have never had the brake fluid flushed out of them I just recently tested the fluid in both cars. Her cars fluid was at 0% moisture content and mine was at 1% content (3% or greater needs to be changed). Cabin air filter and engine air filter just buy the filters from amazon and do them yourself.

I did ask him and got the typical scammer's reply "these services are unique to race cars like corvette's and camaro's...if you drive them like how they are suppose to be driven, they require extra care". I asked him why doesn't the service manual recommend these then? He didn't have an answer...

Got the same shpeel from my Cadillac dealer. 5 1/2 years old, 40,000 mile so should do a coolant flush due to age not mileage. $300. Wipers $200. Air filter $200 and cabin filter for $150. Then add $200 for injector cleaning and another $200 for the throttle body. Good thing is they were clear without made up names, lol
