That angle adaptor does not work on an lt1 engine. There is only one way it fits and it points towards the driver when screwed in.

Has anyone tried an adapter that actually points straight up when installed on our engines?

All you have to do is turn it 1/4 turn back to the left. It’s in place doesn’t leak and works fine. See the photo I posted previously.

I saw it, thank you. I know there are a couple of aftermarket adapters and was wondering if any were actually designed for our engines. If not, I will buy the GM one and do as you suggest.

I just set mine to about 2 o’clock just to make positive seal with O ring , no big deal

This adapter works best. I just got it in the mail and it’s fantastic. One piece locks nicely into place while the other can be rotated firmly to any angle.
