They said they have a video of it after installation. I told them that they may have a video, but it wasn’t from my car.

They finally admitted that they didn’t install the lighting. They also kept my original blue fuel door when they changed it out for the black/carbon fiber one and they kept my original shifter cap when they installed the carbon fiber appearance cap. They are going to replace the fuel door and shifter cap. I’m guessing the PDI guys are keeping this stuff and selling it online somewhere.

I didn't even think of getting my fuel door back. Looks like there's an epidemic of lies going around lol

My C5 had some blue-ish footwell lighting, but it was bad, so distracting and I couldn't stand it. I disconnected it. It was a 2SS loaded, but I'm not sure if it was stock or added aftermarket. I have no idea if my C6 2SS has it, but if it does, it's definitely not distracting me like before. My Stinger definitely has it, I can see it while it's dark, but it's not distracting and "just right".

That's kind of why I went with the OEM ones, as the lighting should be subtle, and Id like it to match with the rest of the interior without extra controllers or apps.

By law the dealers are supposed to return any and all parts that the customer pays for, to the customer unless there's a core charge. Then that should be written on the invoice. Even if they replace your spark plugs during a tune up. This is so that the customer knows that they were either bad or replaced.
