Get the factory size tires to save money. Bigger sizes mean more money to spend.

If you compare the specs of the tire side by side, the 285 is actually shorter than the factory tire. The 295 actually matches up better with the factory tire.

I am planning to switch to A/S tires on a second new set of rims (I want to be able to drive when below 40 degrees outside). I was actually looking at 275/35/20 front tire for more sidewall height...

According to Tiresize.com, the 275/35 20 is 27.6 inch height as compared to the 285/30 20 which is 26.7. Don’t think you would have enough clearance for the taller tire in the front.

Others here have gone 275/35 w/o issues. But 285/35 seems to be too much.

Even some mainstream cars are already coming with 21" rims now. Thanks to EVs, I think we'll see lots more 25 & 30 profile tires for: 20X8.5 21x9 22x9.5 In other words, I think we'll soon be in a world where there are almost no A/S tires that are 295+ with more than a 30 profile, so I'm staying with 20s. I also want to get away from the 11" wide with 305s in the rear. I'm going to keep my stock staggered 10" & 11" OEM rims, but I want to run a second set with 20x10 in the rear when I get the A/S tires.

I replaced the GY SC3s with the Michelin PS4AS for all weather usage. The side walls are not as stiff as the SC3s and they give up the razor sharp steering response. I don’t drive my car hard, but if I were to replace the tires I’d try the PS4s and just avoid driving in colder temps

What would you say are the pros and cons (both measured and subjective differences) of Toyo R888s vs the Michelin PS4’s and Sport Cup 2s vs Goodyear SC3s and SC3Rs?
