Fast forward a bit as the car is now running and documented in this thread:
LINK! Engine complete: Old engine coming out: New engine going in: First start video - click on image: Complete with new Rotofab intake: Now with 150 miles on the combination...break in and begin to tune by Ted Jannetty:

ZPirate: Thanks - We'll see if it holds together - fun getting reacquainted with the car! V8 rumble was sorely missed...

I bet it's a monster.
Do you feel the weight?

Boost Creep: The car did gain weight - 82 pounds with the addition of the LT4 blower. However, I don't feel it. The front only dropped 1/8 inch with no mods to the suspension.
No doubt a pro driver would have other comments, but being the lightest blower available - super happy with the outcome. We'll see what this engine makes - understandably the 'small' blower is the limiting factor. Crossed 1000 miles with a data log of near 6900 rpm and 9.5 psi. Pulls quite nicely in third! Still tuning thanks to Jannetty magic. Wonderful to get reacquainted with the car - great Chevrolet product!

Another logging run, this time in 4th hitting 7000 rpm (150 mph!) and near 11 psi of boost! It accelerated nicely, to say the least!
Thanksgiving will bring a chassis dyno appt - will she blow or will she go??? Stock: 375 WHP LT4 Blower: 540 WHP Ported LT4 Blower with larger pulley: 521 WHP (likely piston damaged) 416: ??? WHP Any guesses?

Just over 100 at the wheel...possibly optimistic. :-)
I'd be happy if it doesn't throw a rod...and ecstatic with 600 WHP. I've got others that say it won't make much more than before due to the small blower.

Nearly 1500 miles on the combination...
Another oil change: And fresh NGK 6509 spark plugs: Means ready for the chassis dyno tomorrow. Chilly conditions are promising and the weather is holding for one final drive of the season! Hope the heart breaker will go easy on us this time around!

So the heartbreaker lived up to its name this round...
4 runs with the best being the first at 536 WHP and dropping 40 WHP from there (4th run didn't record). The blue lines are the important ones. Temps were chilly/ideal @ 47 degrees in the cell with their 60 mph artificial wind/blower as well! Boost was 9.5-11 PSI throughout the run on the OEM sized pulley. We do note an anomaly at 4000 rpm...ECU switching to low octane map (dropping 4 degrees of ignition timing) even though no knock was detected. Ted Jannetty confirmed the tune is conservative and we've already received an updated program to load which should address both areas. Unfortunate part is temps are below freezing with snow on the ground here in Stuttgart so it will be March before we can revisit the truth machine. ;-) Overall, the engine appears solid with 4 runs to 7000 rpm limiter, sounded great doing it, and nearly drives like OEM thanks to Ted's efforts! Incredible feeling to have such a homebuilt project come together and survive the dyno - just means we get to do again in the spring with more to be had! The front wheels are being turned with the rears so I can imagine the power loss to the wheels is much greater than just a rear wheel dyno. I love the Clean tail pipe on the dyno pull. The timing dropping to the low octane table is a mystery we need to resolve not something I have ever seen before but this is an export car so there may be some table somewhere we can see causing this. On the Gen 4 platform export cars had and Urban throttle setting to limit power, I suspect the Gen5 has something like this for export cars, but HPtuners has not found it yet. There is a lot left on the table here, the tune I sent will make a big difference. It is a Pleasure working with you. Ted.
