2018 Zl1 would not go into gear

Hey everyone,
So I have a 2018 Zl1 6sp with 23k miles on it. I would say Oct 1st was last time I drove it. Over last couple weeks I’ve maybe started it a few times but haven’t tried to move it. Today I was going to take it for a spin and fill it up so I started it let it warm up and when I was ready to go the car would not go into any gear clutch felt fine just would not get through. I shut it off tried again still nothing. I turned it off put it into gear then started it I felt a jolt but it broke free and drove fine all day. I just went outside after car has been sitting in the cold for few hours and no issues. My main concern is what could have caused this to happen on a fairly new car and what should I do to maybe prevent this again.

Thank you!!

We had a Jeep years ago that would do that if we didn't drive it for a couple months. I'd have to put it in gear and start it. Sometimes it would break free sometimes not, and the starter would actually drive the Jeep until it fired up. If it sat all winter I'd have to hold the clutch to the floor and hammer on the the throttle then let off to get it to break free as it was rolling around on the acreage. The clutch disk was rusting to the flywheel. Once it was free it was good until parked for an extended period.
