New Clutch Pedal needed
My 2SS 1LE is in need of a new clutch pedal. I was simply driving and noticed a sudden “thunk” noise. The auto rev match stopped working immediately. When I pulled over to check, I noticed the clutch pedal was extremely loose. The car couldn’t detect the clutch Input any more and so the car could not start.
After towing the car and having the dealership do a multi-inspection they said they need to order a new part. GM Part # 85526226 Sadly the dealership hasn’t been able to get the part in yet, they submitted a SPAC case and everything but still no luck. The Camaro has been sitting at the shop now for over a month now and am at a loss of what I can do. Any help would be appreciated https://share.icloud.com/photos/04a1...vAeJ90tL-bPoaw https://parts.chevrolet.com/product/...&storeId=11201 |

This one on ebay. Says it needs the position sensor swapped over. Is yours still good?

And.. I’m not too sure, I’ll have to check with the dealer. But they did say they only need that one part I mentioned. |

Your part number apparently replaced this part:
https://www.gmpartscenter.net/oem-pa...pedal-84524413 I'm not sure exactly what all changed, but I'd guess the holes in the floor did not. I would think they could at least swap over pieces from the old part #. Also doesn't make sense that the new part is impossible to find while the old part is easy. What are you supposed to do, wait for months? |

i've been waiting for a new clutch pedal since Aug 24th. Brand new SS 1LE had a clutch issue and they haven't been able to source one. Pathetic.

Lemon law probably applies if you want to go that route, something like 30 days in the shop in the first year, supply constraints be dammed. Also the lemon law has a fee shifting statute so the manufacturer has to pay your legal bills. Find one in your area, they can do a free consultation and tell you if you have a case and if you do they will probably take it on contingency meaning they don't get paid unless you "win" and then it comes out of the manufacturers pocket, not yours.

OP - I just heard that there's some movement on my clutch pedal. Wonder if you've gotten an update as well.
