Turbo car needs a converter bad
So I like to travel to other areas racing, see different cars, interact with different people rather than just racing the same people in my own back yard. I’m near Chicago and went to Detroit this past weekend for the pyop event on the back side of Milan dragway in the daily driver class. I expected it to be faster than my local back of the track but it was way faster. These surfaces are usually pretty porous and hard to get down, this was not! The nitrous sn95 I lost to 2nd rd, left with the front end in the air on his 1st rd pass. All in all it was still a good time and a lot of fun. Even got to meet another forum member BDPhoto519 which was really cool. I also added a 2 step trying to build boost, it helped but I really just need to bite the bullet and buy a converter or switch to roll racing lol.

What kind of stall speed are you considering? My 3k stall is pretty tame on the street. Not sure id want to go much higher for a DD though.

I had a 3200 stall in my old turbo ls 4l80e trans am and it wasn't too bad to drive around. I just finished a cam swap and tune on a c6 with a 3600 stall and i don't really like how loose it is driving around. Big difference in 4, 6, 8 and 10 speeds though. Pretty sure I can make a fairly loose converter drive pretty reasonable locking it up as it's going into the higher gears. Right now looking at logs and where the power really starts coming in, that 3600-3800 would let it get there.

I dont know of many companies making stalls for the 10L80 besides CD.
I asked CD about a stall and they told me the 10 speed units tend to be in lockup the majority of the time so you're able to get away with a higher RPM for daily street use in comparison to earlier model transmission types and 38-4500rpm is not out of the norm. You'd just have to adjust for your forced induction setup. My old 4thgen had a ss3600 then a CD4k. I love high stalls but with this A10 I'm in a learning curve.

There are multiple companies making them, just not everybody. Circle D, Pure and then suncoast seem to be the most popular. I'm big on customer service and as the Circle D rep and I were discussing things, trans temp came up. I told him my temp never gets over 160 and he told me I was wrong or the sensor was wrong. Well the Ford 10r80's, which I also have in my F150 run pretty hot, 215 isn't uncommon and why they do a thermal bypass to keep them cool. The fact that he was so sure of himself, based off Ford info i'm assuming and couldn't fathom Chevy doing something different kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Didn't make me want to do business with them but they still seem to be the preferred vendor for most people.
Here is a screenshot of the the first pass and you can see where the boost starts to take off. Edit: bot passes were second gear launch as I can footbrake higher rpm that way

On the temp thing, is this something to do with the sensor location? I remember in my old F body, I would get the trans temps from PCM which would read 20-30F higher than if an aftermarket sensor was installed in the pan. On that 4th gen reading off PCM measures using the trans internal sensor, it will measure higher because in reality its measuring the valvebody and case temp more than the aftermarket sensor just measuring fluid temp.
I realize it's opposite in your case but it could have something to do with where the sensors are reading from. Also if you're worried about your trans temps ever, you can install a ZL1 trans cooler which is bigger. There's a thread here on the forum someone did that. All you have to do is cut the plastic bigger. Your car hauls dude I'll be paying attention to your build

Funny you say that, I had the LT1 radiator on my LS1 car also. Ran the big summit racing fin+tube trans cooler in back of the SSRA CAI. Deleted A/C and shit. Fun times! Keep at it dude I'll be watching
