That’s one of my pet peeves, yeah bought the car from you and now you want me to be your rolling advertisement?

I requested they didn't before it was even delivered. Yeah, it could have happened before the salesman sent word down, but when I pulled it off (one of the plastic ones) there was a scratch under it. I corrected it, but what are the odds it was a coincidence.

Wow! That thing makes the Camaro look small. Kinda of like my Camaro makes my Z look small. And my Z a Miata look small. Just shows how massive those Challengers are.

Does not qualify for "doing", but I received my new steering wheel from Carbonaddons, and it looks astoundingly good in person, pictures don't give it justice. The part ooozes quality, nothing on it feels cheap, even the extended CF paddles are such an upgrade compared to the stock flappies. Manufacturing and shipping took 5 weeks total, and they committed to 6-8 weeks on their website, so that's lightning fast in my books.

All I need to do now is summon the courage (think clock spring & that frikken red-threadlocker-lubed T50 center bolt, you guys know the deal), and maybe more tools, too

Push comes to shove I can always chicken out and trot on over to the dealership, they're very friendly and do have a real pro in the shop.

Looks awesome! And expensive. Can't wait to see it installed in your car.

Your comments about installing it brought back
fond/not so fond memories of when I had to remove the steering wheel in my BMW 135i in order to remove the standard paddles and replace them with M3 paddles. At the end of the day it worked out fine, but it was a little scary while removing the airbag.

Thanks brother. It wasn't cheap, but I found a discount code online for ~15% off, which helped a bit. Also, I haven't modded anything for over two years, and the steering wheel cover that I've been using to compensate for the lack of girth is looking a bit cheap on the interior...

Nothing to do with my Camaro, but instead another high performance Chevy. My wife and I went out to dinner and what did I see in the restaurant parking lot? A C8 Z06. First one I've seen in person and it looked to be loaded with go faster and carbon fiber options.

Their stuff is really high quality. I have a shifter and armrest from them, along with some other pieces.

I plan on doing the steering wheel, dashboard, glove box, and a-pillars. This car is my daily and show car.

This looks great!

I was a bit hesitant in doing it on my own after reading all those comments about the clock spring and the center bolt. At the end it worked out fine, so here is my two comments that will help you do it on your own with no need to pay a visit to the dealer:

1. You will need an impact gun to start working on that center bolt. As long as you have one you are perfectly fine. After you loosen the center bolt you can use a regular ratchet wrench.

2. In regards to the clock spring, unscrew the center bolt a few rounds at a time. Every time you unscrew it a little bit, move the steering wheel back and forth. Keep an eye on the clock spring while you do this and have a screwdriver handy in case you need to push it back if it gets stuck to the steering wheel (very unlikely).

With the above you should be fine. It took me 15 minutes to replace mine and I was extra cautious.

Made her jealous! Got her sister new shoes a couple days ago.

Deciding if I want new wheels for the Camaro too or have existing wheels refurbished (curbmarks)

That looks like a challenging install. I most likely would take it to the dealer if I was comfortable with them. I'd just hate to get into it in my garage and something goes wrong. Then what, you can't drive it anywhere with no steering wheel. That will go nice in your car though, be sure to post pics once it's all done.

I think the second picture is deceiving because the Challenger is a bit closer to the camera.

If I'm not mistaken, the Challenger is only an inch wider in non-widebody trim. Now in terms of length and height, I don't know. That said, Dodge does have a weight problem that can't go unmentioned lol.
