Intercooler dumping coolant

Not on a camaro, but an edelbrock 2650 installed on a 2017 Yukon 6.2

After driving especially when hot, I will find evidence of coolant coming out of the reservoir for the intercooler. Is it more likely that there is still air in the system or maybe the cap is defective? The coolant never seems to get really hot, I can touch the hoses even after a long drive.

Cap is likely defective. See if you can put a pressure test on it… just a few psi should be enough.

If its doing that I would check to make sure its actually circulating properly. Could have a air pocket in it. Take the cap off and don't start it but put it in the accessary mode and the pump should start running. Make sure the coolant is swirling above the top hose, if not add some water or coolant until it does. The coolant should feel warm but not hot like your engine coolant.
