Alot of engine builders/shops recommend using a break-in oil such as Driven or Joe Gibbs for the first 500 miles.
King.. the engine has break in oil in it as we speak (I believe the TSP brand), but waiting 500 miles or so before I do an oil change then back to the Tuner. Any thoughts on the Zinc additive as mentioned above?

100%. The weight savings is so minimal, it is not worth it. I have seen at least four 6th gen's break them, and to further help with the decision, a friend with a CTS-V broke one just this weekend. The standard CF driveshafts for these cars aren't the same quality as the custom ones being used in promods, etc.

Thanks King and ZLAtlanta- the Chromoly is cheaper anyways!

Imo all that Zinc talk is just old methodology before hydraulic valvetrains took over.

New Katech TB adapter showed up today! I didn’t want to wait another 2 weeks for anodizing so I just cleaned it up and shot it with satin black paint. Looks like nice work from Katech, as expected.

Not yet, hoping to wrap it up soon. Just a few small things to do (as always lol).

It really is a clean looking setup. I ain't no Whipple guy but the routing of the hoses really makes the engine bay look so much better than most PDs including mine. Geezz did I just say that? Shit get me a nurse so she can check my temp, might be having a stroke. Hee-Hee.

The hose routing was completely custom by my brother and I. We didn’t like the hoses as shipped by Whipple so we decided to go our own route. And we’ve cooked up a real slick stainless manifold setup for intercooler water this upcome winter…but we still needed something to look good for this year too…

It's looking beautiful, worthy of your engine bay

I put it in my build thread but the 2.9 to 3.0 conversion is complete (along with a bunch of misc I’ve been meaning to do)! Hoping to get her running this weekend. Finally off jackstands! Lol
