15in conversion tire size
Hey I have a 2020 zl1 looking to do a 15 inch conversion and the car has a manual trans. What size Hoosier would work best? How wide can you go without clearance issues?

What kind of power are you making that you need a 15" conversion? I ran a 17" with 850 rwhp on my 16 SS and hooking with a 305-45-17 MT Street R, ran 9.41@147 w/1.35 60ft. Just trying to save you some money that you could use some place else. I run a 17" Hoosier 28x10-17 with 707 at the wheels and you for sure need a slick with an M6. I'd look at the 28x10 or the 28x10.5-17 Hoosier as you mentioned in your post above.

I had to comment on your signature, 9.58 @ 145mph, when I ran 10.35 at 145 last weekend. Something's not right here.

Nothing weird about 9.58@145. I’ve run multiple 9.6x at anywhere from 145-149 MPH. Your time is what it is because you were having traction issues but your trap speed shows that’s you’re making good power.

I’d do 325/50/15 unless you’re in a class that requires the smaller tire…

How much rwhp? picking a tire without knowing those two things is pointless.

He runs at my track (wwtraceway), its a twin turbo that he's still dialing in, turbo 400 conversion. Should go in the 8s when he's done tuning it.

If you want to know how well your car is working do this, 1320 divided by your mph! That will tell you how well your combo works, my Stock eliminator cars will out run this calculator or right with it. When this car is all dialed in I'm hoping for mid 8's at 155 or so.

The answer to your question is that the 10.35 ET was under performing relative to the 145 trap speed. Not unreasonable to expect mid-9s ETs with a 145 trap speed on a decent run like TOSTO reported.
