Crank position sensor relearn using HPTuners

Does anyone know if the crankshaft position sensor relearn procedure can be accomplished using HPtuners?

Yeah, I was thinking of PMing King, but though I'd create a thread for the benefit of the rest of the community. My car is running fine, but I've got the crank relearn fault code.

I have never had to perform a crank relearn. So, I am not sure if that feature in HPt works on this platform. I would give it a try and see if it works. If it doesn't you will need to find someone with a tech2 type device I believe.

Jim, I have a "medium kahuna" D8 scan tool and will check today if it can do crank relearn for GM vehicles. As per the manual, it should be supported. If yes, I can drive over to your humble abode and do the needful if you want, just text me.

My experience is, I put the car in service mood, flash the ECM/TCM with HPT, exit service mood, it then relearns the crank position when you hit the start button once or twice, then it will start.

I'm currently remote tuning my car with Ted Jannetty, so my ecm has been reflashed several times and the stubborn crankshaft relearn DCT won't go away. I will run this issue by Ted on Monday when we resume tuning.
