Doesn't matter now except maybe for nostalgia. The decision to kill the Camaro must have been made sometime in late 2018, early 2019.

If charger/challenger can keep rolling on 10+ years, keep making the Camaro. Tooling is there and paid for. Just money in the bank. 2025 heritage edition w 2018 front and rear fascia

Yes, that ship has sailed. Too bad GM didn't do what Ford did and redo/refresh the Camaro or at least begin that process. Remember when Chevy dropped the Camaro in 2002. During that time Ford kept building Mustangs. Then in 2010 Chevy brought Camaro (Gen5) back. Same thing now with Ford continuing to build a new/refreshed Mustang and the Camaro set to go away again, this time likely for good. It's a shame.

If this numbers are correct Gm won’t care to do anything more with the camaro. The competition is outselling it 2 to 1. They will focus on the vett. I also wouldn’t put much faith in Gm authority. 90% what they put out there never happens

I had two used 5 generation Camaros, now I imported one brand new 0 miles of 6th generation and I can only say that it's a crappy car. It looks like a Chevrolet Cruze in the body of a Camaro. Also its 8 speed 8L45 transmission is the worst piece of junk I've ever touched. My 2021 Camaro barely has 11k miles on it and the transmission broke on its own! When braking the transmission kicks hard (clunk noise in downshifting). Since it's an imported car and I'm in South America it has no warranty and now I'm with a practically brand new paperweight. I have to spend thousands of dollars trying to repair this junk transmission and then try to sell this crappy car.

The Camaro obviously does not look or drive like a Cruze in a different body, watch some videos if you don't believe us who have seen and driven several 6th gens. This is not a crappy car by any means, not even is that transmission "crappy" per se, it looks like you got a lemon of a trans, which sucks, but don't generalize from a sample size of 1 or even a few, mass produced cars do all have issues. A harsh 3>2 shift is a problem, no question about it, and I will say that the 8L45/8L90 does have major and unfortunate oversights, but saying it's "the worst piece of junk" and your car is a "paperweight", come on now.

Incompetent and conflicting policies, absolutely. Crushing manufacturers to go EV, not so much, at least not Federally. States, on the other hand, are busily making rules that can't happen and they can't enforce. Who do you think going to blink when one of their arbitrary deadlines comes and goes and their recalcitrant citizens aren't buying enough EV's to meet their arbitrary percentages? |

Difference is Dodge only has 3 vehicles in their line up, Charger/Challenger are two of them lol. They didn't really have a choice but to keep pumping them out lol

It may not be the transmission. Have your mechanic check for a loose axle nut. I had the same issue where I had the clunking on downshifts and turns out it wasn't the transmission at all. |
