Track alignment setting

Just finished converting my ZL1 to the FEA suspension components (kept the MRC). I also have Vorschlag camber plates up front.

For the track rats.... What have you guys found to be the best configuration? Iike I said, I have camber plates SPL toe and camber arms in rear, so plenty of available adjustment.

My previous ZLE, set in track mode destroyed the front left tire after 2 days. That being said, I'm also after the best turn in and balanced setup. My local track has 23 corners, most of them off camber and very technical with a complex entry from the previous corner.

Love to hear the experienced and see what setup you guys are running.

Start with...

Front: -3.0
Rear: - 2.0

Adjust according to tire wear.

Close to above
-3.5 front
-2.0 rear

Toe is odd but I’m at
.05 out front
.05 in rear

-2.7 front -2.2 rear with 0ish toe seems to work at VIR...if the track were tighter with slower speeds I might up the camber to -3.0 up front and see what happens. Remember you can adjust your rear sway bar also. Driving style and track surface texture/configuration destroys tires faster than alignment settings from my experience. Obviously, if the alignment is way off you will kill tires.

I was told if you lower the front to lowest height you can get more camber, the ZLE on tires like 3R benefits from a lot of front camber.

the only problem with lowering the front and adding max camber all around....it adversely affects front/rear braking and rear traction. If you lower the front, the rear will not hook up as well as you power out of the apex. if you have max camber...then you are losing braking since your contact patch is now diminished. Probably best to be pretty close to what the gm guys figured out on the Nurburgring.

I'm running the recommended alignment settings from the track prep guide and my sway bar on the softer setting. I may try more negative camber next alignment, prob -3 up front

Thanks for the input. I decided on:
-3.2 front
-2.0 rear
+0.05 toe

I have 2 corners that I really struggle to get rear grip on. Both are uphill, tight, off camber, 2nd gear, left handers. I'm loosing seconds there compared to my German counterparts. I'm pretty much on pace everywhere else. I'll start with these settings and see where it takes me.
