Any good phone storage solutions?

Hi all

I've got a big honking Samsung S22 Ultra which does not fit in the cupbut holder. Normally I rest it in the center console cubby behind the seats - It doesn't really fit but it seems to be secure enough. It's a little inconvenient back there but I've got wireless android auto so I rarely have to access the phone while driving. The battery is pretty big but wireless android auto really kills it so I was thinking of rigging up some kind of wireless charging solution. Anybody done anything like this yet? A pedestal charger would make the most sense I think. I don't need a mount to actually see the phone as I want to still keep it in the center back cubby.

Thanks

Exactly this. I don't even bother taking my phone out of my pocket when using android auto. If I have to plug it in to charge, I just toss it on the package shelf behind the passenger seat. Some folks might call them back seats, I just call them package shelves.

As I mentioned before, wireless Android Auto destroys your battery, so if you're going on a trip for more than an hour or so you're going to want to charge. I purchased this item on Amazon and it seems to fit the bill. Testing it now but I think it works fairly well. Becasue you can bend it down almost horizontal, the console tray's walls keep the phone from flying off the charger.

I bought these on Amazon and they are perfect. Two for $15. Strong Velcro. I put them on the carpet right on driver and passenger console. They match the seats/stitching perfect. I don’t have pic from in car but will take one tomorrow. Everybody that gets in the car thinks they are from the factory.

What are you using to upload images? I don't wanna pay Photobucket and Google doesn't provide a thumbnail image.

Thanks.

Amazon magnetic Mount affixed to the right of the radio.

Dockem DashMini Magno Mount 3.0... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K7XBJLN...p_mob_ap_share

Amazing strength. Track days. Autocross. Potholes. Holds extremely well.

Doesn't address the OP's main question/issue of being able to charge his phone, though.

That being said, I have the same set, and used a red fabric pen to dye the stitching to match my interior w/ the Adrenaline Red seat package. It's not a 100% perfect color match but close enough for where it is (it is less orange looking than in the picture).

2016-2019 Camaro Dual Travel Buddy Cup Holder

Car Cup Holder Phone Mount, Phone Holder Mount Cradle Universal Adjustable Compatible for All Smartphones Apple iPhone Samsung Galaxy Note, LG Moto Google Pixel by Cellet

Works well for me. Holds the phone + a drink and doesn't take up too much space for the passenger.

I just don't like the feeling of something bulging in my right pocket when I am driving.

Personally, switching to a Z Flip3 solved my issue. When folded, it fits nicely in the little storage in front of the rear seat.

I know you can retrofit a wireless charger in the rear centre storage area, but it is supposedly too small for most modern phones. While my phone fits in there, I just don't feel like baking my phone with a wireless charger without some kind of cooling.
