Well got the pacesetters in. In pics they look like the jbas but thats just a picture. They look really good. Heavy duty, strong, finish's looks great. They measure 1.85 outside tube size.

So I took off my cats and stared putting in the drivers side. It hits the heat shield over the knock sensor. Took shield off and it hits the bolt head on the knock sensor. I dont know how big of a dent I would need to make but it was about an 1/8 before the flange would be against the head. I guess it might work but I just pulled it back out.

Anyone had that problem?

Another problem on the passenger side is the flange is not flat. Looks like about 125 thou bow in it at the middle. I guess it might pull flat BUT?

So thats what I have found on pacesetters.

Was the bow there before ceramic coating?

That's a bummer, not sure of the issue with the bolt head hitting , but in regards to the bow in the flange they will leak. Ask me how I know...
Had a machine shop try to flatten it out with a press and table sander. Then used some Remflex gaskets for good measure. Dont seem to leak anymore

Anyone know an easy way to tell if your headers are actually ceramic coated? Had an extra O2 sensor bung welded into one of my Kooks headers for AFR wide band, and welder said there's no way these are coated! Now I'm questioning it before I go ahead and install them, because it was an extra $350 or so cost! Still wondering either way if it'll make any difference anyways.

I too went with the speed engineering. Guess what they were half the price of the crummey pacesetters. These fit their 2 inch and no dents anywhere they just fit. And as far as I can tell the car is making more power than it ever has. very pleased with these headers!

My SE (1 7/8) weren't coated and no issues. I've never paid for coating and actually like the look of the uncoated stainless steel, they get a little blue and I don't mind that at all.
