Stupid Question
So I was just thinking would it be worth it? I have a 2018 ZLE with 4300 miles. Still have 3 years and 2 months bumper to bumper coverage. Car was built 6/25/18, 2019 started production just a few weeks later so no concerns but would it be worth it to sell and order a 2022 ZLE? I think I will have a ZLE in the garage for many years to come but wondering if it would worth it? Or just be happy with what I have. I really love the car now.

I’ve wondered the same thing.
What worries me is I love my car so much and it hasn’t given me a problem at all. I grow attached to my vehicles that are just studs. My older Suburban was like this, as funny as this is to read I’m sure. I’m afraid if I let this one go the next one might not quite feel right or worse be a turd or unreliable. And I’ve been a licensed tech for over 25 years. Still if something works sooo good for me I find it tough to let go. I replaced my Suburban with an Escalade. The Escalade is nice. The mighty Burban rode better, towed better, lacks in power but was definitely a better SUV. I like the idea of a new warranty and fresh low mileage……. But then I think of new machinery we have replaced with old, only to wish you had the old back. Know what I mean? |

I can't imagine they changed the oil pump a few weeks after my car was built and I still have over 3 years of bumper to bumper. But I guess you never know. When my warranty is over I'll probably do a cam and heads anyway and upgrade the oil pump regardless but just toying with the idea. My car is Mosaic black, the only change I would probably make would be the cherry red tint coat.

Even if I could get the price I would want, I get attached (lame - I know), and, like you, haven't had any problems. I've had a single warranty item (replaced a seat cover back) and that's it. As far as I'm concerned, I took GM's car, and made it how I thought it should come, and it's about as perfect as I could want. I still have a couple smaller things in mind to do, but nothing Earth shattering. The car might have a couple idiosyncrasies, but it's like a personality to me, and I like that. Hell - I named him on the 500-mile drive from the dealership to home. LAME. OK. But that's me, and I can't escape that, LOL...

I did just that. Traded in my 19 ZLE for a 2022 ZLE in Rapid Blue. With the crazy used car market and the tax benefits, I'll be in in a brand new vehicle for $220 haahhaaha! The only drawback for me is that they wanted my car immediately and I have to wait for the 22 to be built. I can wait.

Do what you want pauly! If you want new then sell or trade your 2018 and drive on. If I were you I would buy the last year ZLE but it’s totally up to you. I’m keeping my 2017 ZL1 because I don’t have the money to upgrade to a new ZL1 and don’t have the desire to do so either. Good luck to you.

I just turned 29k on my 19, but i drive mine, taken it to Florida twice, events etc. But mines modded and I paid it off after a year. IMO if you want another color, new tail lights and the new car nostalgia (which wears off quick) then I say go for it. Otherwise I say mod the shit out of it and really enjoy it
