Is what it is. My truck has gone through 2 in 6 years and it’s a daily driver. I think there is an electrical issue somewhere. I’ve got a few gremlins in it.

No joke. I miss stuff lasting years and years. It’s been in my lifetime I’ve seen the transition from long lasting to not so long lasting/not repairable.

how tough was the battery swap? Any window relearning or anything needed after power up?

I did the battery swap Friday. It’s not easy. You have remove part of the trunk. Which wasn’t too bad. I had to go to dealer for help though after I couldn’t get the plastic cover thing off the positive side. Mine wouldn’t budge and I didn’t want to break it. They did it for me at no cost (I know the service writer and I supplied the battery).

But yeah the windows relearn is a thing. And you might have to reset some car settings.

My battery was swapped out a couple weeks back for the first time - but she had done all the miles she was meant to - and more

Dealer did it - I found the job simple

Looking good and nice home made ramps. Can't believe some of you are replacing your battery already. I sold my 2010 SS last summer it had the original battery and it was as strong as brand new. Keeping it on the trickle charger all winter helps prolong the life I think.

I find that since I moved from Ontario Canada to North Carolina my batteries don't last more than 5 years trickle charger or not. I think the heat is actually harder on them than the cold. IMO.

That would make sense. I've lived here my whole life and I've only replaced a car battery once. I suppose parking indoors and out of the elements helps too.
