2020 LT1 2-3 Rough Shift in SPORT MODE ONLY.

I’m having a consistent rough shift during WOT during the 2-3 shift l. I’ve been noticing the issue pretty often over the past month or so since I got my GM PERF CAI installed with dealer tune. I haven’t thought much of it because I’ve been trying to diagnose the issue- trans temps- never go above 145ish. So I decide to throw the car in tour which I rarely have it in anymore just to see what happens and sure enough every shift was smooth as butter all the way home. This is the only time I haven’t noticed the rough 2-3 shift under WOT was while I was in tour. I typically stay in sport due to tighter steering and what I believed was a more responsive and engaging rpm response. However the rough 2-3 shift makes me cringe every time and I definitely don’t think it’s great for the 10L80. Has anyone else experienced this issue after a GM PERF CAI W/tune? Or experienced this issue at all on a stock LT1 ONLY while in sport? My theory is something weird about the tune GM used didn’t flash all modes or it’s just a shit tune (very likely). Anyways I’m very inexperienced with cars in general from what I understand it almost sounds like the fuel is being cut too much during that 2-3 shift. Anyways all thoughts help. Thanks all

I’ve also realized with further driving in touring the shift points are much sooner in the rpms. Manual mode does not have the issue I don’t believe. I’m wondering if it may be normal to have a particularly rough 2-3 at 6500 rpms?

i would believe the more RPMs the rougher the shift would feel.never had an A10 but my old modded turbo 400 /pontiac 400 combo would rip your head off on the 1-2 shift at full throttle.

I have experienced the same...kind of a 'hiccup' or stutter in the shift. Haven't tried in Tour mode.

Not sure what to think of it, doesn't seem to affect anything else???

I'm not full throttle all the time and I'm aware of it, so I try to ease thru those shifts now.

I just find it weird it doesn’t have this problem at redline when I’m paddle shifting, and the 2-3 shift is the only one it ever doesn’t like. I’m just going to be more proactive about revving it out in auto+sport I guess, and hope if it a serious problem, it becomes apparent before 4 years or 42k more miles lol

No.

My 2021 zl1 a10 has no shudder and I don't remember seeing any complaints of the a10 and shudder issues, just the a8.

Can you take it back to dealer and see if they can reflash tune?

Dealer should do this under warranty as I think they would likely drop the pan to have a look.

I’ve heard countless stories of people going to dealers with tranny complaints only to be told it’s normal, and I’m not going to waste my time with a Chevy dealership who isn’t trying to honor anything with the word warranty. I also don’t want to do a fluid change because I’ve heard another countless people say don’t change ATF unless absolutely necessary, and I don’t know enough to know if this warrants it. I have also been able to confirm that even in touring I watched revs get to 6500 and it didn’t do the fuel cut it does in sport mode (if a fuel cut is actually what it is). Anyways I’m sure I will have to suck it up and decide to change ATF or go to dealer.. which pretty much requires me to ask the dealer to do something they are going to try to tell me they don’t need to do.. real catch 22.
