Just found part number P37018 on Brembo's website for $189. I'm going to go with them and hopefully no issues from here on out.

Yep - my parts dept. about fainted when I asked for a quote on the OE pads & suggested ACDelco Professional replacement pads for less than half the price. If you got those, they are not validated for track work in any way. They're still semi metallic pads, but built at a much lower performance & price point.

I got smoke from my last track day after I neglected to take a flying cooldown lap, but that's the worst I've seen on OE pads.

I honestly don’t think they were on fire either, but I did t have any tools with me and a 3 hour ride home so I didn’t want to **** around. Keep in mind I had an oil pump failure on my 2017 ZL1 last year that left me stranded so I sure you guys understand.

Are you confident those are the same part as OE? Seems a bit too good to be true - even roackauto only has the oe pads for about 340 per set.

The Brembo part number the OP used cross references the ACDelco part number for the OE pads on Brembo’s website.

I don’t think the OP realizes that ordering brakes using the ACDelco part number will result in receiving the OE pads. He installed the incorrect pad resulting in his issue but blames ACDelco for some reason.

I don't think they're correct. We'll know soon enough but I think those are for a regular SS, not the 1LE brakes.
