ZLE owners - what is this?

What is this bolt for? Is this some sort of alignment bolt? I just brought home a 2019 ZLE that had 95 miles. Previous owner bought and parked it. The drivers side was hand tight. I'm tempted to remove it. Thx

remove it, it's used when you are making adjustments to the camber during an alignment.

I do not know ZL1 suspension but I do know a little bit about alignments. Is that a factory strut? I would assume there is a slot in that upper strut bolt for camber adjustment. If you remove that bolt you are are asking the bolt that clamps the strut to the knuckle to do a lot of work. If things move and they do you could end up with extra camber. Maybe have a "Good" alignment guy take a look at it and see what he thinks. I wonder why it is sticking so far out.

Yes, that is the stock suspension. It's the worlds largest set screw. Just presses against the knuckle. I had the car aligned before my 1,000 mile run for -1.0 camber and 0 toe. Stock in rear. I guess they forgot about it. It's just your garden variety 3" grade 8.

A few shots at the dealer before I drove it home. Then a couple at home. Can't cage the beast. Hitch installed to pull my track trailer. Painted arc 8 track wheels will be ready on Wed. More pictures then. Going to replicate the paint scheme from my old 1M.

I got the car at Chillicothe Ford in OH. One of their mechanics is a car nut and has a bunch of muscle cars. He wanted a GT500 but didn't think he would get an early allocation. So he bought the ZLE with the express purpose of trading it in on a GT500. He knows his dealer would only work with him if he traded in a comparable high performance car. He drove it home and parked it. 1 year later he got his GT500 and traded in the ZLE. I am the lucky second owner.

Very nice. Congrats. I love my ZLE. Not a single regret. It’s better than I expected. And they just look sooooo mean
