I kick myself for not buying the actual GM wing.. When the 1LE first came out, it was like $2200 :( I never thought it would shoot up to $4300

Are there any differences between the ac and oem wing in terms of overall design? Are the angles similar? Would love to see a side by side comparison of the two.

Thin 3M VHB in 4"x8" sheets Made a template out of thin cardboard to fit the shape of the base with the stud holes punched out with a hole punch and transferred that to the VHB

Amazon has them

Replacing Adhesive

It was probably overkill but I contacted 3M since they make so many different VHB tapes. They recommended the 5952 based on the application. https://3m.citrination.com/pif/000083?locale=en-US
I purchase a small roll on amazon and used an exacto knife to trim to the recessed portion of the stanchions similar to firecaptain. Since then I haven't had any issued with it, solid at high speeds. FWIW I also have an early '17 build without the "reinforced" trunk lid.

I used this and didn't have any issues. Stay 1/8" inside the outer edge of the stanchion, otherwise the tape will squeeze out.

If anyone is looking for the Anderson Composites wing, I had one ordered from Vivid Racing, that is pretty far along in the queue and less than $1,200.

Email: tyleri@vividracing.com and see if you can take my spot. I ended up getting an OEM wing so had cancelled with Tyler.

Best regards,
Dave

Two comments about the '20 1LE wing:

1. I wish it were adjustable
2. It blocks my view of the cars following behind at a distance
