Annoying dash creaking
Anyone found a fix for this yet? I know it’s been discussed it’s that plastic piece just below the glass on the dash, so annoying especially on the highway or shittier roads with lots of bumps

I have so many creaks/rattles, I don’t know where to start. I chalk it up to the nature of the car and just turn up the radio.

It's funny that everyone else gets their own version of a rattle/squeak from driving on paved roads.
I drive on bumpy, sandy, muddy dirt roads a few times a month and there's only 1 slight rattle/squeak on the dash by the a pillar. Mine could be easily fixed but I hardly notice it anymore. I thought someone had mentioned that you'd have to take the dash off then put some padding under the area that needs it. |

Yea mine still comes from those silver pieces in the dash and the doors whenever the bass is kicked up. I've unfortunately learned to live with it.

My ZL1 does it too depending on the road/road conditions and the 2016 2SS I used to own had a dash rattle/creak too.

And this another reason why I love my convertible...top down, you don’t hear that stuff, perfect! Odd noises drive me nuts..
Wish I knew of a simple fix to pass on to you. |

I was "blessed" with sensitive hearing and can hear certain frequencies most others cannot, and a lower volume levels than most can. I have taken portions of the dash apart chasing rattles. It's better but not 100%. On my car, the biggest offender was the plastic HVAC ducts connecting vents. It's not very well supported within the dash, and can bang around a bit. Also, squeaks from plastic on plastic clips. I have quite a bit of strategically placed sound deadened and window ribbon butly to combat this. If these noises don't bother you too much, I would leave it alone. Chasing rattles is a rabbit hole.
