Yes, I constantly have people blowing their horn at me when I sit there with my left signal on but don't move forward because I'd have to drive thru the hashed lines. If they only knew...

I got a ticket for excessive display of speed in a smart car. I was running a yellow light and turning. Not speeding.
Apparently it was too much action for a cop waiting for his light to turn green.
That car had to be run at 130% all the time to avoid being squished by traffic.
NWA said it best.

Dumbest thing I got pulled over for was for driving maybe 100-200 feet on the yellow painted median to get in a turn lane. Followed the traffic in front of me, just happened to be the last car in line when we drove past johnny law.

I didn't have much trouble with cops before. Got a warning from a cop for going 100 km/h in 80 km/h zone(62 mph in 50 mph) in my RX-8.

I got a few tickets from cameras, though. Most of those are fairly minor speeding around the 10 mph/15 km/h range. The most BS one was an area near me that changes speed limit(one particular section is 50 km/h, the rest is 60 km/h, and it was a wide open 2-lane road). I drove at 70 km/h and got a camera ticket for that. At least those don't count towards the insurance, and I got fed up with tickets soon enough in my Camaro for my Uniden R7 unit.

I have this BS near me. 4 lane road separated by a median even. Goes from 40 MPH to 50 MPH for like a mile then back to 40 MPH. I think they do that crap on purpose.

The dumbest thing I was ever pulled over for was a missing front license plate that was actually there. I was coming out of an active 20 mph school zone entering into a 30 mph zone actually adhering to the speed limit in my 1984 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. I was on the phone with my mom (yes it was legal to do so, this was early-mid 00's) and I hear this cop screeching his tires flip a u turn tires a blazing flying up behind me. I tell my mom I'd call her back because I thought I was being pulled over and hang up. Barney Fife comes up to my window and asks if there was a reason why I didn't have a front license plate. I asked him where it was since it was there when I left home less than 5 minutes prior. He goes to the front of the car and apologizes but asks for my license and proof of insurance anyway. All I was trying to do was get some McDonalds before I had to be at class. The guy was a bit of a tool until he found out that he had pulled me over for nothing and then he was an apologetic tool. To this day I have no idea why he so aggressively came flying up behind me over a missing front license plate. I didn't know of another car like mine in the small town so it wasn't like he'd likely gotten a tip about a car like mine being involved in an incident.

I am sure they will never do anything like this.

Never...

These videos talk about BC, Canada but this applies to quite a few places outside as well.

i got pulled over once for not having my headlights on at least 30 minutes after sunrise ...even though it was so bright out auto headlights turned off and had been off for a while (I always leave headlights on auto).

No ticket. Like usual. no tickets. Just harassment to try and see if they can't sneak a real bust in.

Jersey loves to police traffic, just not when anyone is doing something actually stupid like lane hopping without a blinker or any number of other passive aggressive road-ragey crap they do in pa and jersey all over the place because their crappy roads are at best, 2 lane.

california has been pretty good to us. No bs pull overs yet.

The first and only time I’ve been pulled over was for “reckless driving”... except it wasn’t.

I was rolling up on a stop light that had just turned green - I had slowed down to maybe 15mph (in a 45) but saw it had changed so I sped up to the speed limit in 1st gear. Well, there was a box truck that had been at the light and obviously been stopped and apparently a loud car in 1st gear already accelerating and getting up to the speed limit is such an annoyance for this truck driver that he throws his hands up in annoyance at me. Well, a state trooper sitting there must have seen this and decided it was his time to shine. I get a mile down the road, doing MAYBE 5-10 over at the most, staying in one lane the whole time, when I see those dreaded flashing lights behind me. I pull over, greet the officer respectfully... then he hits me with “I’m pulling you over for reckless driving”. I was honestly bewildered and asked him to repeat himself, in which he did and also added how I was apparently swerving in and out of lanes and traffic, doing 20 over, and revving my engine but that he also lost visual of me after I had initially passed him - so something didn’t add up.

I counter him and say I was in one lane the whole time, except when I got into the plaza that he pulled me over in, how I honestly was speeding, but nowhere close to 20 over, and that I’m in an automatic car and it’s quite difficult, if not impossible, to throw my car into neutral whilst going up a hill, to randomly rev my engine (I was using paddle shifters to engine brake when turning, so this may be where it came from).

He ended up giving me a verbal warning for the whole thing, which was kind of him, but we both knew that his argument wouldn’t have held up in court had he chosen to ticket me. I’m quite often on the side of police for a lot of things, but the fact that he had lied to me several times about driving unsafely, which my driving is something I take pride in, left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.

Edit: To add, the officer specifically told me he had seen the truck driver flip his hands up and used that as a justification/proof I was driving recklessly, apparently.

He just laughed and said, "Here's your ticket. $45. Just mail it in."
Back in the mid-90's i had a '74 GTO (don't laugh, i was a kid). Anyway I was cruising Northern VA on an open stretch of Parkway and all of a sudden i saw a cop in the middle of the median in front of a bridge point at me as I drove by. I wasn't sure what was going on so I just kept driving. My girlfriend freaked out cause she thought we were going to get chased down. Luckily nothing ever happened. I don't know what that cop wanted, but luckily I never found out.

Anyway, I get harassed about not having a front plate on my Camaro and Viper. I've racked up sever hundred dollars in tickets from cops that drive through neighborhoods looking for violations to ticket when its parked in the street. Also been pulled over several times for it.

I can't wait until July 1st. The law changes here in Ohio and you won't have to have a front plate anymore. Mine's coming off. Thankfully, for the 2019, GM made the front plate bracket to clamp onto to grille fins. So, no holes had to be drilled.
