so my wife

I have bought a "few" new vehicles in the last 10 years, I'm usually in and out every 2 years. I have leased the last 2 new ones. What I think is that if you use the manufactures lending institution you will get some better deals. The only reason I think a "pre-approved" method works for the buyer is that you have a lower interest rate. I offered cash money in 96 for a 95 lexus GS, I guess my offer was too low, I went up and across the street and bought a 96 Q45. Don't be afraid to get up and walk out. It works, especially after the last 4 months...

Don’t get caught up with negotiating no document fees, etc.

Do the math for the price and fees you are willing to pay and negotiate an out the door price. If they want to list a doc fee on the contract, it comes off the price paid. Not your problem then.

FWIW. I don’t know if the infotainment system has been updated since 2018, but I found it to be so bad I couldn’t live with it.

When my 16 2SS had the transmission shudder, I looked at the RC 350 F Sport ...and other Lexus models. It was maddeningly stupidly in its layout.

Ehhh, that means nothing anymore. They make more off the shmuck using dealer financing than you, so they don't care

I'm the same way, got cash, good credit, don't need your financing and it gets you nothing anymore.

Might luck out if you end up being the hat trick on a Saturday or last minute meet a quota at the end of the month possibly though.

RC’s are not that good, and don’t sell for a damn. If she HAS to have one, get a certified pre-owned RC-F. Know the infotainment is absolutely terrible and they don’t even drive that well. Either way, a CPO RC-F can be had in the bottom 40’s.

They. Do. Not. Sell. So the dealers that have an RC for whatever reason are generally very interested in getting rid of them.

They are advertising full MSRP plus the caliper and tint.

There probably is not a lot of dealer cash available for the F Sport, they don't typically rebate a whole bunch on cars like this. Dealer cash for a Q60 Red Sport right now is about 500 bucks, wow!

Ten Grand off MSRP is very aggressive, and they probably won't do it. But once they give you their initial proposal, that's a good place for you to come back. Plan on landing somewhere in the middle of that. At what ever number is on the table, and they let you leave, that's pretty much the number. Ask for another grand from that number. If they say no, ask for another 500. No sales manager is going to lose a car deal over 500 bucks.

Oh, and be nice about the whole thing. Have some fun with the sales person, you'll probably talk to the manager at some point. Treat them with respect and be casual. Believe me, they will be more willing to work with someone they like.

I’m not doubting you at all because I know very little about this but how do you know they’re not that good? And how do you know that they don’t sell in the dealerships want to get rid of them? That would certainly be good news.

Kinda sorta. You have to realize that unless you order a Camaro, no one pays MSRP on one, so if you compare the depreciated price to MSRP, Camaro will lose more, but if you get a discount on one, then the depreciation isn't that bad on the Camaro.

Even the big bro RC-F isn't that impressive performance-wise. For people who want luxury, they would probably look for a German car, so it's just kinda in that limbo where its performance/performance-per-buck gets beat by American ponies, while it's not as fancy as German luxury.

Lexus is just fancy Toyota, and when was the last time Toyota made a good sports car without anybody else's help?

Sent from toaster or something
