Zl1 vs 1le diffrence in parts
Hi
Is there a place where i can se exact all the difrence in parts between them? I have a 17 zl1 and whant to upgrade it because of a lot of track time, i know its best to buy a 1le but there is only 6 of them in sweden... |

there is another thread on this - but I was not able to find it.
A different guy wanted to modify his to 1LE specs, but its not worth it. The end synopsys was that it was cheaper to just buy the car. a very small amount of it is listed in the GMPP catolog: https://rj-conlin.dcatalog.com/v/202...atalog/?page=1 front grille w/ canards & front splitter, fog lights removed. rear spoiler (and allegedly truck lid) wheels / tires multimatic DSSV coil-overs (no mag ride) lower control arms sway bars cradle bushings rear suspension parts PTM mode algorithms Manual transmission is close ratio w/ no overdrive

i know its cheaper to buy a 1le but its almost impossible to find one in sweden and a want to have all the chassi parts on my zl1, so it would be nice if i could se the oem parts nr on all the parts..

Cradle bushings and wheels/tires would get you most of the handling improvement with reasonable cost.

If you're asking how a non-ZLE achieves a similar level of handling on track as the ZLE then you're already putting on track tires--SC 3Rs, Hoosiers, etc. The DSSVs are a much bigger part of the ZLE's 1.1+ G performance than cradle bushings, they're unique world-class suspension parts that give the car most of it's uncanny grip and sharp feel, together with the sways. Cradle bushing help, and the aero helps a lot at speed. I had some excellent KW V3 Clubsports on my Evo X and was putting down fast laps, the day I switched to Ohlins R/Ts I gained nearly 2 seconds--all other parts identical. |

The DSSVs are truly remarkable and add a lot of performance to the ZLE (love them on mine). However the extra cost to add them vs return on investment for MOST people is not there. The cradle bushings and tires are easily added and not too expensive for the return on performance.
If you’re willing to get DSSVs, new bumper, dive planes, wing, PTM tuning, M6 with lower 6th gear, etc, may as well just get an actual ZLE. In my mind, adding DSSVs are a tipping point where it makes more sense to just get a new car from a coat perspective. |

Who can reprogram PTM?
If you get a 10spd Auto car, that eliminates the Trans item. Just not familiar with PTM mod? Best regards, Dave
