New guy
I have been reading and learning for a few months. Thank all of you for the guidance and support on all the new builds . Here is a picture of my toys. 1969 SS 396. Fatham Green ,0wned for 20 years, 2015 SS Flash green with 4500 miles. Each one is great in the own way . Still thinking of updates for each .

Thanks,The 2015 is an L99 thinking of adding some bolt on , nothing major , just a little more power and sound . When the Country opens up I plan on doing some road trips and want to do improvements that want hurt highway mileage.

Welcome. Entry level upgrades are always the same cold air intake, long tube headers and exhaust with a tune. Tune does a lot for the autos it will feel like a new car with those mods. And can all be done for around $1500 if you can do your own work.

If you have a tune done , will it help shifts to be more firm. Will it reduce the gas mileage for highway driving ?

Just a tune and you shouldn't see any real mpg difference. It definitely helps shifts and can reduce torque management. I'd suggest getting a custom tune from a vendor on here, if you want to change the shifts they can always adjust more to your liking.
