ZL1 Direct injection meth

So I'm a little confused I'm reading about meth. So mostly I see that people use Snow or Alky. My confusion is that some spary into there intake or directly into the cylinders.

So I found the NX lid supposedly it to use to install meth directly, comes with ports for the nozzles. But who is that direct injection if that is on top of the blower?

Is there a way to spray direct on the 20 zl1?

What is the best kit? And what exactly would I need for direct injection?

Nothing direct injects into the cylinder. The NX kit is nice because it sprays after the rotors. If you spray before the rotors of a roots style blower you can't use water (doesn't compress).

Sounds like you might be getting confused with some of the direct port nitrous kits. These spray nitrous into each cylinder but its more or less port injection.

Pm or call and we can get you a deal on a NX lid kit.

So is there any benefit from using 8 nozzles with the NX lid compared to just 2 nozzles into the intake?

Also I noticed that the NX site has a NX lid kit with the everything pretty much set up . Has anyone use this kit before?

I would think so. It’s basically spraying directly onto your intercooler bricks rather then through the whole rotor pack. Here’s my setup. The pump and electronics is alky control and the lid injection is from prometh. Works pretty good

Looks like you are using 5 nozzles I'm I correct? Did you spec out the meth system, or did pro meth ?

How do you decide how many nozzles to go with and what size?

5 nozzles. 1 pre boost, 4 post in the lid

Originally, the guy from prometh spec’d the nozzle sizes. But there was so much meth going to the blower, a total of 44gph. It was drowning it lol

After talking to a couple of people I knocked the meth way down to 27 gph.
The front one is 3gph. The 4 in the lid are 6gph each.

Prometh had the front one at 20gph and the ones in the lid at 6gph.

Is all that necessary? It looks great but most people just use either one or two injection points before the TB. Shooting it before the SC wouldn't it be sucked in and evenly pushed through the SC.
Not saying that the 5 nozzle system doesn't work but IMO not sure if the cost / benefit ratio is worth it. I am sure all that stainless plumbing was not cheap.
I am the farthest thing from an expert just giving my opinion from a car enthusiasts

Any reason you went with Alky?

Prometh had the front one at 20gph and the ones in the lid at 6gph.
Did you tap the lid or swnr it out? Do you know what kit you bought from pro meth? I see they have a couple different ones.

I get what your saying but think it is. The car makes really good power for being stock cam, stock motor. 749/776 on pump. So it’s definitely working haha

I sent the lid off to them. They tapped the lid.
I don’t know if it’s a certain kit or not. I called him and he explained to me what he recommend I do. Mine has the solenoid with it aswell

What's the reason you decided to go with Alky?

That's great power for what you have. What are the bolt on you have?

I am getting a alky injection kit and lower pulley installed next month. Probably just going with a single or dual nozzle depends what my builder suggest.

I chose alky control mostly because that’s what most big shops like vengeance use. They seem to be the most reliable and the controller works very well.

Thanks! Kong port/2.175 upper, the meth setup, big gulp, NW 103 Tb, kooks 2inch headers and cat deletes, jms fuel max, Mighty Mouse catch can.

Thankfully I’m really good friends with my tuner which helps tremendously. I just added a dsx flex fuel sensor and on the street we were able to get about E60 out of the fuel system. I think on a cold night the car will be creeping on up towards that 800whp number.

I was thinking of doing the same mods but doing a lower pulley. That's the reason I'm asking what guys are using for meth kits. Was looking at the NX lid which has the ports already but its pretty expensive.
