Hey I know this thread is old, but has anyone done Flowmaster or Borla into the Kooks X-pipe? I have the Kooks street screamer and can't deal with the drone anymore, sounds wicked at idle and WOT but 1900 rpm is enough to make you go deaf. Looking at NPP option if I'm going to spend the $. I would think it would take minor bends to fit the two together but any local shop should be able to do that. Thanks everyone,

I see mention of pulling fuse 51 and don't understand why this would be done. Doesn't selecting track on the NPP provide the same sound? What would the advantage be to pull fuse 51?

First off, you will be best off making a new thread for a situation like this. Kooks X Pipe should be able to be attached to any axle back out there, at most it will be minor fab that any exhaust shop will do in half an hour. Get Corsa exhaust if you want zero drone and top notch sound. Sport or Xtreme muffler flavors are available. I know for a fact the Kooks X Pipe fits with it and I don't think there is much fab work needed. I see you want valves now that I re-read your post - Borla S-Type would be my recommendation then. ATAK can experience drone, especially when paired with headers or removed cats.

Selecting Track opens the flaps 90%+ of the time; however, in certain cruising environments, the computer will still close the valves for whatever reason - most likely protection from drone. Some notice a difference between pulling the fuse and track mode. Personally, I never found it worth doing since I'm okay with the flaps closing in those circumstances that they do in Track.

The whole stock exhaust was too quiet for me so I put a Corsa Xtreme+ system on it instead.

I run the Borla 60606 mid-pipe into a Kooks Screamer axle-back. The drone out of the box was TERRIBLE. I added the Borla 60608 resonator which helped alot, but have custom J-pipes welded in was the answer! I have a very unique sounding exhaust that doesn't buzz my brains out. The Corsa's and Borla's just stay with a raspy high pitch to avoid the drone. It's the only way unless you get fancy with resonators and J-pipes. Here's a playlist of my exhaust system in different iterations:
