has anyone slapped 18' tails on a 19'?
hey all,
with this 84 month 0% apr chevy is offering right now I'm seriously contemplating grabbing a new zl1. I hate the new tail lights so thats the only thing holding me back. has anyone done this? I know itll cost a pretty penny since I'm sure you'd need to get an 18 rear bumper also so they line up correctly |

The conversion would cost more than its worth! Your best bet would be to find a used 2018 ZL1 to buy if you want the older taillights!

I'd trade bumpers and tails if you get black.

'19 looks much better in person than on a photo.

It applies to all 19s, with no exclusions, so I have been told

There is another thread on this somewhere here...
I think what I remember about it is that it cannot be done - there was some sort of change that prevented it.

Yeah, it cannot be done with any level of ease whatsoever. The entire rear is different, it's not just the tails. You'd need a bunch of new parts.
The 2019s look a lot better than you might think. Be open minded. |

It's not as simple as that unfortunately, I've seen at least twenty or thirty since the 2019 design changes were introduced, and it still makes me feel like it did on day 1. It seems to be an instant love or hate kind of change, there is nobody I've talked to who honestly "took to" the redesign.

I’m not crazy about the goggle look either but it’s grown on me kinda like a wart. I’m partial to the 2018 clear lense look but that also took some time to grow on me. The new design looks better also with the clear lenses.
