Be very careful what adapters you get. Buy the best quality custom adapters. I bought mine from Motorsport Tech in Reno. About 150.00 for a set of 2. Don't cheap out as your life is riding on it.

So I the guy told me it’s the z28 replicas which comes in a 275/30 and the current stock wheels for my car is 245/40... so should I get the tires for it or spacers?

Honestly, you need to take the wheels off and check the offsets. There's a chance that they're staggered, meaning they have different offsets for the front and the rear. If you have a front and rear mixed up, that would explain the rubbing on one corner...

Here is the end result. No fitment issues and spacer is bolted secured.

Here's a helpful discussion of what offset means. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111604 And here's an offset calculator page: https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator Start with the OEM width and offset in the left pane, and enter the new width in the right pane. Now adjust the offset unit you get the desired clearance. For example, the OEM front wheel is 8" wide with a +35mm offset. To get the same inner clearance with a 10" wide wheel, you will need a +10mm offset. Notice that the change in offset is 25mm, almost exactly one inch. Not coincidentally, that change is one half the increase in the width of the wheel. |
