Uh...yes you can. In the U.S. flow speed is limited to 10 gallons per minute for cars and 40 gallons per minute for trucks. This flow rate is based on the diameter of the vehicle's fuel filling pipe, which limits flow to these amounts. I'm usually putting around 16 gallons in, so never more than 2 minutes a fillup. |

Gm should make an electric camaro.
There are many bearded, craft beer drinkers that will pay anything to fit in as car guys. If cheby wants to sell alot of them, it only needs to be faster and cheaper than the Lt1. The electric Hummer is going to be the cats azzz. Wrangler has been asleep at the greed wheel and missed out on this one. |

It’s impossible to discuss electric cars on a forum for die hard gas engine guys without getting political. The electric car itself is the result of politics.
The Camaro has appealed to the same type of people and only the same type of people since 1967, and it ain’t for the spacious back seat or cavernous trunk. If you ask not who we voted for but why we voted for them, reducing the EPA’s power is pretty high on the approval list. I’m not saying we should go back to lead burning carb’d cast iron bock engines that got 10 mpg, but I’m good with 15 mpg no matter how much gas costs. I’d love to take my Camaro to the office of a certain speaker from a certain west coast state and shred my tires for an hour in the parking lot burning a whole tank of gas. Did I just say that out loud? You bet I did. |

a 1k hp ev sounds cool, but i hate to imagine what it would cost. a well optioned 455 hp gas burner is already 50k, and you know an ev is going to have way more stuff on it, awd etc.
while i agree electric vehicles are a joke and more harmful to the environment (see carbon footprint) than ICE setups, i would still buy one to daily. the biggest problem is: they are so damn ugly. every one of them. why?? i would never buy an ev camaro (or ev anything) to replace my fun car(s). i’m an inherent car guy, growing up in u-pulls and on dragstrips watching my friends and family race nhra stock class cars. some of you call it holding on to a prehistoric idea. i can see that point of view when you lack grass roots car (racing/shows/maintenance/modification) experience. as a kid i slept in the back of a square body suburban every friday & saturday night when i got tired of watching cars race...for almost a decade. the sound, smell and feel of an ICE can never be replaced. calling this car thing a passion is an understatement.

i'M old and want big, loud, dinosaur burning V8s. BUT you have to acknowledge that the high performance electrics will soon make the performance of the petro burners just old and pathetic. Sad but true

If the Camaro were electrified in a way that allows us to retain control over our own car and its customizability, if it provides the best of both worlds (gas and electric) by, say, adding two front wheel electric motors in a dynamic AWD configuration to a rear wheel drive based drivetrain and an even more powerful V8, then yes, I may be interested. If, however, it becomes yet another fully big brother-ish, remotely monitored and controlled appliance with nothing but a giant touch screen in the middle because that is "cool", no engine sound, no distinctive features, zero uniqueness, mandatory intrusive electronic drive assists (because let's face it, the driving skills or lack thereof of people who can easily buy sub-3 second 0-60 AWD electric cars today will soon become a liability), then I say why bother, I'll keep my 2018 as long as it runs. Just look at the new electric "Mustang", can anyone even remember any feature of that car apart from the taillights. (Note that this is all in the context of muscle and sports cars, not family haulers or trucks or other everyday purpose vehicles.)

The worst part about the do gooders is how they almost hate hybrids as much as ICE's, when hybrids represent the best of both of them. With the advent of modern lightweight lithium batteries, I think having an alternative to the ICE for vehicles is a good idea, but there shouldn't be any "banning" going on that's ridiculous to ban ICE's. |

Look at how much control a tesla has over you, think about how much "personal" info it is collecting about you. Of course tesla dosen't get scrutinized or in trouble for this since they are "doing so much good for the world" and "fighting evil corporations" that have a "consipracy with big oil". |

Don’t get me wrong in the 1/4 mile an EV can be king, is king. But search the internet’s and you find interesting 1/2 mile races.
