Kong Porting of the Eforce 2650 pics up 3lbs on same combo!

So I got car back from Sorian's Tuning about 3 mos. ago. Drove it around for 2 weeks and sent it back to get rid of the clutch and rear end protection. I can now leave a hell of a burn out! Anyhow how we were waiting on some stuff from HPtuners and Kong contacted me out of the blue. I had been watching his work with edelbrock and some mustangs. BTW I think I saw Tally and Edelbrock post they get into the 8s with an an Eforce 2650 unported on his zl1. Anyhow I asked Greg how much he though it would add " He said they are seeing 100 plus on mustangs so I'm confident with 50 plus or more". I said Heck ya! If you remember from my build I was right at 900 on all e85, 30 over injectors with the LPE pump. We got the blower back and Matt said I have good news and Bad news.. the good news is we are up 2lbs and have not hit 5,000 rpms.. the bad news is the rail pressure is failing way off at just under 5k rpms. I was running the 9.2 and 3.0 upper still.. and made 890 in the cool months and just before blower was taken off to be ported 863.. Now I'm running a 8.3 lower and 3.5 upper if the math is correct we were 22,xxx down to 16,xxx now on blower speed and making 865 still and it was 95 with a lot of humidity.


I have provision for port injection just need to drill them out..

On this note take care to this warning or don't be discourage if you buy and later want to make 1100 or so on all e85 with port injection.


I know there are a lot of Maggi lovers, I like them to but I pulled the trigger on the eforce since it was available 8 mos earlier... the maggi out now that fits under the hood will not accept port injection and the blower that does you have to clearance the hood.. So I'm kinda upset about that, not sure why people were posting on my eforce build page that there will fit under the hood its not apples to apples if you cant run port injection and 1 can.

Anyhow what great blowers these 2650 are!

So you are saying the eForce 2650 can be port injected, but the Maggie cannot?

According to weaponX you can

We also have patents pending on the port injection kit itself as well as port bung modifications for the Edelbrock 2650, Magnuson 2650, Whipple 2.9Land Procharger manifolds, as well as the way we're doing it with the 1740 Eaton supercharger and Magnuson 2300.

The Maggie is much wider. Doesn’t look like there is much room for a second rail.

Let's see it then? put up or shut up! I see them post a lot stuff that's coming and when I want to get it, I get the m.f. run around I'm so sick of weapon x and that salesman brent...HE is a nice guy dont get me wrong but he knows nothing of the new products from what I gather he doesn't even live near the shop.... whoever is posting on this forum with new products answer the questions if you post and inform your salesmen... Brents always has to get permission on what's for sale, what he can say, what's listed for sale what's not..

For ex.. I mentioned I wanted a lid on FB.. oh we got a lid.. ok get me a price.. " well it's not for sale we go to test it 1st" dont jump in my conversations w that BS then. I need a lid spacer oh we got spacers ok how much oh well we haven't tested.. I was like I'll M.F. test them.. nevermind kid I'll get the gasket file and make myself.

Incidentally if u need a lid spacer look up
Great Western Metals Inc in Houston they have my file under Metcalf anyone can get one cut from it for 30 bucks or less.

Anyhow these forums should be for helping none of secret bs stuff..

Great results from Kong! That’s really impressive! I love how Edelbrock gave us injector bungs on their 2650. You still have options should you want more. Drill baby drill!

The porting blew through the LPE fuel parts.. so I'm adding port injection.. Sent rails to Crawford Racing to add the port injection in the allotted spots in addition to drilling the blowers intake rails it comes with the fuel injection rails and hardware.

The pic is a friends vette mine will have black rails.
