Looking at a car without NPP and F55 Magnetic ride. Do I walk??? Can I add F55 Suspen
So my fully loaded FIFTY was totaled and I bought it back. Only the front cosmetics, fender, door, and door jamb were damaged. Rest of car is pretty much perfect with 14K miles. I was going to buy a replacement today with 8K miles because it seemed loaded as well. I knew it didnt have NPP but I was fine with that. Since I have a MRBP for it I didnt really care but comparing VINs I just realized this car has the FE3 suspension and not the F55. That frustrates me. I am going to lower the car with my Eibachs will I really miss F55? I thought since it had the track, sport, snow, wet modes that was F55 but I was clearly wrong.
To note this is my commuter. It will not be tracked. Maybe the 1/4 every once in awhile for the hell of it and it will get a Maggie because I dont leave stuff alone and I have a new kit in the garage lol. With all that would you walk because of the FE3 suspension? I hope I am looking into this to much.

Sorry, I haven't heard of the F55 suspension so I can't really help on that, but there are plenty of camaros out there, can you take your time and get what you want?
oh, are you talking about Mag Ride?

F55 is the code for the (MRC) Magnetic Ride Control suspension.
OP - You could add it but it is expensive to do after the fact based on all the parts needed so, extremely cost prohibitive!

Except that he has his old wrecked car with the parts. Still.not sure it's that easy though.

Having had a car with MRC and without. There's not that big of a difference.

Yes I do have all the parts to add MRC but I am not sure I want to go through the effort. I wish it was easy to find what I want but a FIFTY with NPP, MRC AND SUNROOF is actually hard to find in the area. And I am in Northern California. I know they exist but... Since I am lowering it anyways, I can always add shocks/struts later if I like. I might just pull the trigger. I just spent an hour in traffic with my C7 and I love being in a fun car. My old Camaro was my commuter for a few months. I am glad I didnt sell the Maxima lol.

Teddy, it seems like you are going to open up a can of worms trying to add the totaled car’s parts to the newer one. I would just hold off if you can and wait until you can find one like you want! With the 2020s coming out people may be selling or trading their 2017s for the new year and you might get what you want in a 2017! Oh yeah, check the East Coast out for the 2017 Fifty Camaros. I have seen several on Cars.com last month. Good luck!

LOL Greg you have no idea. Having 2 identical cars that are/were near perfect is tough. I ended up buying the new one without MRC. It is what it is.

your not going to get factory MRC to work. The dealer would have to program it and they wont.

Funny, when I see a post like this I expect to see a home address of Pothole City, North Dakota, not South Florida! I spend a good bit of time in South Florida, and the roads are pretty good, IMHO. The main problem with this option is it's a bit pricey. I have it and like it, but was it worth close to $2000? Not sure about that.

Having owned a couple of CA6 MRCs they are overrated on the street. NPP however is a must for me. Controlling the sound is very cool.
Nice if the car has it. The Sunroof is a must for me with this dark interior and NPP. Also the SS as it is a world class handler. It needs no fixes. But OP slow down and wait for the car you really want. You will be happy you waited later,
