1LE Spoiler options

The carbon fiber 1LE GM spoiler is a thing of beauty. But for less than 1/10th the cost, you can get this ebay version...

Wondering if any other cheap ass mofos sprung for it and how they feel about it, have pics, etc.

Thanks

LT4, you get what you pay for! If it was me and I wanted to change to the GM part then spend the money and get the OEM Carbon wing! You will probably be happier in the long run you know!

I’ve bought two parts from Extreme Dimensions under the Carbon Creations brand (same as Duraflex but with CF molded around the parts). The splitter looked very nice out of the box, but the first diffuser I received looked very unfinished and I sent it back to be exchanged. Second one looked better so I kept it. There was about 6 MONTHS of working with them to get both correct parts in good condition (first they sent wrong splitter also).

I had both professionally installed, and the installer said that neither part fit perfectly and they did their best to manage the gaps. The splitter’s gap is not noticeable thanks to its position, but the diffuser has pretty significant gaps from the body.

The spoiler *should* be much easier to fit since it only has to fit over three screw holes, but there very well may be issues/modifications required.

Pretty much everything went wrong that could have, so if you can afford anything else I would go that route. This is another budget option but it’s probably better than Extreme Dimensions/Duraflex:

If you don't mind doing a bit of work on it and re-painting/dipping/wrapping, then go for it (this is the worst case scenario in most cases). Make sure you follow OEM procedures during install.

Or you can fly off with this bad boy: https://www.battleaero.com/collectio...t-camaro-gen-6

j/k

This one is Carbon fiber, cheaper than OEM, you get the real look: https://www.c7carbon.com/2016up-cama...on-fiber-p-671

I purchased the C7Carbon carbon fiber one, ordered around a month ago. The price is a 1/4 of the GM one, and looks identical in person (I saw one at Cars ad Coffee). Once mine arrives I can fill you in on my experience.

The one above OP (I believe) is the one that shakes at high speeds.

Same here...
C7Carbon | ZL1 ILE style rear wing | IN DEVELOPMENT, 3D TECH!
Go to post #533 there are some pics of this wing on a members car that helped me decide to purchase along with talking to Matt at Wildhammer Motorsports that I find to be a stand up guy. The wing really looks nice!

I agree LT4! That definitely looks better than the wing type of the Z1LE! IMO the wing on the ZL1 1LE looks ricer but it’s a track car so I understand why it was designed like that.
