Best way to drop a 2017 2ss with magnetic ride

Just wondering is it really safe to go with springs only? I have asked phastek performance and 2 other sites and they said it was safe to buy springs only instead of a whole kit. Just want to know anybody who has done this and their input.

Yes, you can do Eibachs with the mag ride. Lethal Camaro has mag ride and did an install video (actually Eibach did the install), but still worth watching.

Maybe not the way you want to go, but I went with the Fe4 upgrade with the recalibration. It lowered the car about a half inch all the way around, but it handles much better and still rides comfortably while keeping the factory warranty

Eibachs won't affect the factory warranty
Is FE4 compatible with MRC?

Yes, that's what the 1LE has (FE4). Just make sure you get the MRC updated at a dealership after the spring swap.

That’s what I have, had it all done at the dealer and they reassured me I won’t have any warranty issues. It was a very mild drop but the difference in ride and feel is definitely worth it

This would be the most holistic solution. FE4 springs and the MRC code to match them. The damper part numbers for F55 on both FE3 and FE4 are identical, so that tells you that they feel the ride height at FE4 levels is acceptable. Any lower than the FE4 ride height via aftermarket lowering springs starts eating into precious free compression travel, making the suspension significantly more bumpstop-active, which is rarely a good thing.

And don’t forget the cradle lockout or solid cradle bushings to really tie it all together

Last time I checked FE4 package wasn't available for a 2016 with mrc . Is that still the case? I have a 2016 2SS and am wondering if it's worth lowering with mrc.

no calibration for the 16s. to get the calibration on 17-19 you have to buy the 1le track pack. part number 84130608. you cant just do springs and get the FE4 recalibration. the kit says the recalibration is included. thats a lie. you have to pay around $100 for it but you can not get it unless you have the paper that comes with the kit.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

You can use ST-suspensions or Vogtland they are very similar to the 1LE springs. Almost the same spring rates. Just a tad lower.
