Those sizes won’t fit on stock wheels. If you go with aftermarket wheels you will have to go to 30’s not 35’s . 35’s will rub

I don't really know if there is such a thing as "cheapest" and "best" tires, especially in those sizes. All I know to recommend is BFG G-Force Comp-2 A/S. Good luck.

You can do 305s in the rear with some aftermarket wheels just make sure to move the harness out the way on the drivers side and you will be good. The 285s upfront are going to be a little too big at a 35 tall tire.

I’m running the 20” SS 1LE rims right now and running 265/35/20 tires on the front with no rub and the cars lowered, but yeah 285 might be a bit much. 305’s on the back running perfectly though. But regardless of the price, what set of tires you reccomend then?

You aren't going to find a cheap 305 summer tire.
If you are willing to go ultrahigh performance all season you can get the BF goodrich g-force comp, looks to me to be the cheapest for your size.
However, I'm assuming since you are going for the widest possible tire sizes that lateral grip is most important to you. Therefore, I assume you want summer compound tires. That puts you in the $400-450 per tire category, pretty much. That's just what you're going to pay in those sizes for high performance tires.
Are you tracking your SS?

Personally, I don't know why you'd ever want or need 305s for a street driven Camaro. It's overkill. But if you want them, you're gonna pay for them

you need 285/30 and 305/30. nittos are cheap and not bad. you can fit a 295/30 in the front. why are your running a 265 now?

I should have bought a ZL1

I ran BFG G Force tires on my Mustang, they rock. Stuck to the road in any kind of weather and I would get 3-4 years out of them hauling ass everywhere. If going new hit DiscountTireDirect.com free shipping to your door and cheapest I found for new. When I got my Camaro I put Giovanni rims o and the shop did a package deal for me on some ToyoProxis tires. I hate to talk negative, but these tires suck. I feel them slipping on moderate flat corners. I don't know if it would be the same where you are but here in SoCal there are a ton of used tires available on OfferUp.com and Craigslist. The Porsche and course racers typically pull 2 maybe 3 races then swap out so finding Continental, Pirelli, and other top brands at 70+ tread is easy. The 295/35/20's Pirelli's on the back of the wife's Challenger were 80%+ tread left, no plugs, and $160 for both mounted and balanced. Hard to beat that anywhere so I'm a huge fan of those over brand new and full price. Hope it helps and best of luck.

That's amazing. Why would people get rid of tires with so much tread left?

I like having 305’s just because of how they look and make the car sit. I do have my own fun with the car, so why not? I have 265’s in the front because I got these tires off of someone and that’s just the set he had with 305 rear to 265 front.
Seems like the BF G Force would be a good set to try out. Looked them up online and they’re a pretty good price as well.
