285 front tires SS no MRC lowered car
First off I'm installing my RST Px1 springs soon and I'm going to upgrade my tires. Now since I don't have MRC, I'm going to drop a bit lower than a lot of other people I've seen here.. Now the question is will 285 30 20s PS4s fit and not rub at all even with the wheel cranked all the way to one side?
I was thinking about doing 275s if needed but 285 will look a bit better. I also have acs rock guards equipped if that'll make any real difference. |

Seems like you will be OK. The wheel spec is nearly the same as the SS 1LE wheel and the PS4S tread is a bit narrower than the SS 1LE tire.

Okay thanks, I hope it doesn't
. I'm kinda worried about the rock guards but I can always take them off and swap to something like the zl1 add-ons rock guards that are super low profile... If that is the correct way to describe them.

I did the same, but with GM Performance springs and struts. Lowered 7/8th on all four corners and I'm running 285's up front and no rub. I was concerned but I was shown the geometry of the suspension in how the wheels don't go straight up but actually go up and inward from the top, so rubbing is a non issue.

Nice ride man! Pretty similar to mine! Thanks for your input, the previous owner did use rock guards so that's pretty depressing for me. I put mine on right away, but the damage had already been done in just 1k miles :/. I'll go for the 285s then and see how it goes. Worse comes to worst I'll just swap them out to 275 if I ever have an issue
.

As stated the stone guards are a must and ZL1ADDONS have some damn good ones!
