Traction control----when active?

Just wondering.
Passed a bozo doing 35-40 in a 50, and it was in an uphill right turn sweeper.
The back end got squirrelly, like it started to slide over to the left somewhat. i countersteered, and backed off just a twitch, but I noticed that there was a red flickering indicator on the tack gauge, not over-revved either.
Temps were below freezing- all season, but am aware they still aren't premo.

Just curious.
Traction control kicking in?

With these temps, I constantly lose traction, even going in straight line. I am fairly certain the traction control kicking is orange, not red.

Well, being somewhat busy, it coulda been a reddish orange??
Just concentrated on maintaining desired direction, etc.
I just know something flickered briefly on the tack side of the group.

My money is on the fact you saw the traction control icon blinking. I see it any time I hit a shift hard with temps below 50. The OEM runflats are definitely traction limited when below 50.

The traction control system on both the Corvette and Camaro are a little lacked , even in full on mode. I actually like that about it.

My M3 was overly conservative and it was VERY annoying. Gm strikes a good balance that leans more towards the sports side , rather than conservative.

Mine will allow the ass end to swing a bit before reining it in, nothing scary but not a nanny either.
