Personally I feel Cooper and General is low end along with any kind of tire ending with the name with "stone". BF Goodrich is what I put on my Gen 5 and they were great.

might I suggest the ohtsu fp-8000. I just replaced my stockers with them. got them from simpletire for a decent price.
so far they've held up atleast as well as my stockers have, however I've not tracked them yet if that's important to you. ohtsu is falken's parent company, and these specifically replace the falken fk452 |

I'm gonna be switching out my stock rubber (runflats) for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Both my car and my girl's ralliart. They get good reviews for wet and dry performance.
The stock runflats have finally started to hit the 1/16th marker after about 21k miles (1 month shy of 3 years) and I'm so over the crap traction they have. Super garbage on even ideal roads, much less on something damp. Almost felt like i was back up north driving on icy roads. So with any luck, these new ones will be drastically better. Going for stock size (245/40ZR20). Was debating keeping with the runflats but they all get crap treadwear ratings except the OEM one and I'm guessing they only achieved that by using super hard rubber ...hence the crap traction. |

I’m glad they finally released the A/S 3+ in stock tire sizes. They are pricey though.

indeed. It's gonna cost a little shy of 2k to do all 8 tires and installation will probably not be cheap on top of that since i'm sure i'll get some kind of markup for the fact that they have to deal with runflats and/or the tire pressure sensors.

I went with the same General tires (stock sizes for the SS) based on tire rack reviews and enzia's recommendation. I use them strictly as winter tires (southern NJ, so real snow is rare event). I have no lack of confidence in the grip and like the low noise. I would rather hear the exhaust note and the stereo than the run flat noise!
My main advice is watch for the rebate. General runs a rebate on purchase of 4 tires at least twice each year. http://generaltire.com/promotions |

Considering how many miles you drive and the varying weather you won't have a say about (long drives usually schedule themselves and you don't get wait for perfect weather), I think you would be happy with the Coopers. I bought them as soon as they were available online for sale in the 6th gen sizes. The only other one I would consider trying on a budget all-season would be the General AS-05's because the AS-03's were good to me on my 5th gen. The Cooper RS3-G1's are made using their Mickey Thompson S/S know-how and Coopers all-weather brains.
I've had them on for 12k miles and 12 months. They haven't faded in their wet weather handling yet. I live in Florida, but last winter saw a number of mornings between 30-40 degrees and they did well. They even have good straight line grip when warmed. I've done hits against my buddies tuned 335M and keep even with his 500hp the whole way. I'm satisfied since I have no current power bumps and my car weights 250 lbs more with a 50hp deficit. He runs PSS' religiously and currently had to go to PS4S due to availability. He can still push over .9g in the corners but I'm limited to high .8's before the back end starts to walk out on me. The only thing I can say bad about driving this all-season on the Camaro full time is that if you are familiar with pushing the lateral limits, you'll notice the tires start talking to you sooner than any mid or high grade summer tire (because you can't have it all). |

Take a look at the Bridgestone RE980AS if they have it in SS sizes. Several of us ZL1 people have been running them this winter season and they're a FANTASTIC daily driver tire, wouldn't change a thing with them.

Recently released, they’re a good choice. Test barely below the A/S 3+.

BF Goodrich Comp-2 A/S.
I don't drive my Camaro in the snow, but these tires solved my cold-wet traction problem with no penalty at the drag strip. (Stock engine and torque converter). Also a very cool looking directional tread pattern. These tires cannot be rotated side to side but are wearing fine after about 20,000 miles. |

I recently bought some Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires and I really like them. Went with stock size in front and 285/35 in the rear. They are made in the stock sizes for our 6 gen Camaros but I wanted just a little bigger in the back which looks better to me. They also come in a multi season tread too in the stock sizes. This is the first set of Continental tires I have had on any of my cars and truck that I have owned.
